Though I've got a few hundred quids worth of Eurotunnel vouchers, I was thinking I'd probably do the ferry and avoid the bulk of the drive. Jo is less keen though and would prefer the tunnel. If we do the ferry, I'll probably not do the Newhaven -> Dieppe but do the fast cat crossing from Portsmouth -> Caen. The pisser is, they don't have a quick one back unless I hang around in France until the following Fri/Sat/Sun. We may either go out a few days earlier or stay a few days later and have a mini-break in Normandy. So, as you can see, lots of thought (and thinking to come) but no fecking decisions. All of that said, I'll probably end up on the tunnel and do the drive anyway but maybe take the less boring (but slower) N338 and not the autoroute.

Yep, should be fine. But, remember, this is me we're talking about - if I decide to do it, I'll need to start worrying about LoT trackdays in 2013.
