Quite enjoyable, although the P45 bit dragged on a bit. Seeing a Bentley on a rally stage was quite a thing. I hated the chintzy interior of the Pagani and it's nowhere near as pretty as the Zonda. Does seem to shift though so I guess it has its place!

I visited the Pagani factory in July and the Huayra looks AMAZING in the flesh / carbon / alloy - mrs donkey isn't impressed by the Zonda but was drooling all over the Huayra. In the pics the front looks massive and just wrong but you don't notice it when you see it for real.

It's impossible to see one being built and not want it really really really badly. Attention to detail is stunning and if you don't like bits of the interior they'll just change them.

I enjoyed Top Gear to be honest. Really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. I must admit the P45 bit did drag on but I did have a few chuckles. Of course it's obviously staged but some of the gags were good.

The Pagini was awesome. My son couldn't stand the wing mirrors though!

In case you were really curious here is where the P45 really came from:-

for what its worth, the mirrors might be a bit different on the whoheyrar but they are 10000000 times more useful than the Zonda ones (bar the R as they are the same as the whoheyrar) and actually really rather good in their own right compared to many mass market ones  Function over form with a little bit of Argie form chucked in to make life hard

Yeah, shame that they weren't mentioned after all the work they put in. You never know though, they could have been given credit by Clarkson at the time of filming but it never made it to the final cut for the show.

I know there was another scene with the P45 that was left out where Clarkson drove it to one of those sheesha (sp?) bars in London and smoked a pipe 'in the car'. There was photo's of Clarkson then with a load of smoke in the helmet bit, I'm guessing Health and Safety probably weren't too keen on that bit being aired.

TG mag suggests he commissioned them to 'style' the P45 If that's the case I doubt they would want to claim too much :D

I was gonna say, what, even remotely professional organisation, would want to have credit for that...

I was waiting for that one

However if you read the article it does mention that it was built specifically for the Top Gear 'sketch' and was made with deliberate 'humorous elements' to serve that purpose. That being the case I think they did a good job thumbsup

presumably in neutral. Actually it wouldn't be 0 - 9000, it would have to be idke to 9000. How long does it take a VX to go fron idle to max revs...not long I wouldn't think.
