Anyone have finally made this modification ? I want to replace it to save weight, and I'm looking for a ref that I can mount.

Not difficult at all. Cheap 40 amp off ebay. A 5 rib pulley. A 5PK870 belt worked fine together with the original crank pulley. Compare old and new alternator on a flat surface to find out how many washers are needed to make the pulley align with the crank pulley. Add an additional wire.

Tssk, more like 100 Kg in my case!
I once had Nipper down to 895 Kg, now he is 970 Kg (with full fuel).

If you want a lightweight car, every little bit count, and this one is a huge saving !
My VXT is 775kg (dry weight) I hope to go to 750, it seems possible. (my car don't go on the road)
I have bought an mini alternator, I will post comment on it here later...

I don´t care super much about the total weght, I´m more interested in removing weight of the rear. I´m having a 59/41 weight distribution now
I want to come closer to 55/45.
So maybe I can make this fit my K24? where to buy them from?

How does 50A behave on a roadcar? Any issues compared to the use of 120/100A ?

There are also some Denso copies, such as the one below, which comes with the 5V pulley.

Any ebay link to share?

I'm not an expert in electrics but as far as I understand it takes longer time to charge the battery and if you use too much power from your electrical consumers, then it won't keep up with charging the battery. I guess
So the 50A zlet alt is a 3kg weight saving. Check

What are the biggest electric consumers
In the car?
The seller I bought it from is not active anymore, but when searching on the model number shown on my alternator in the pictures you get some hits. Remember that you have to buy a 5V ribbed pulley as well.
