After a lot of looking about i've found a VX that i really like, bought it nearly 2 weeks ago and i love it. I still have a lot to learn about the VX and a lot to learn about driving them, i've had a scare or two in the wet with the back end flicking out but i wasnt going fast so i controlled it fine. Its stage 2 Thorney with Milltek exhaust, not as quick after 40mph than my previous astra VXR but i dont care :D it handles a lot better and feels better... dont get me started on the looks, driving down the street everyone looks its great. In time im planning to go stage 4 but for now im still learning. Heres some pics of the car, they're not very good i havent had time to take proper ones, i'll do this soon. I've debadged the rear and took the front V grille off as i think it looks better...

Joe means locking wheel nut key, not the locking wheel nut(s) itself.

Get rid of them anyway, prob just cause more hassle then they're worth. I got rid of mine straight away.

Got a few questions, im a newbie so a bit unsure. Are AP calipers standard on the VX?

Posted Image

How do you change the front light bulbs?
I get a whine noise from the engine when driving, is this just the turbo?
Do VX's have 175/55/17 on the front and 225/45/17's on the back?

1. Yes
2. By removing the light cluster - one bolt that you access through the front clam opening.
3. Probably
4. Yes

A turbo generally shouldn't whine as such. Normally that would point towards the turbo dying... Does it happen only on boost, or at other times also? And yes, bulbs changed by removing the front lights as Mangham said. Takes a few mins, but not difficult. Whereabouts are you in the uk? G
