Can you lock aerocatches? I just picked up all the bits at lunch time. Car Door Lock £7.99 Vandal Reistant Sealed Switch (Aluminium) £5.99 4 Pin Relay £2.99 Cycle inner and outer brake cable (not sure I'll even need that having looked at it £6.49 So it's probably going to cost £17 all in.

I'm not going to be chopping sodding great holes in my engine cover. Fcuk nuggets at Maplin have given me a 5-wire version of the motor and not a 2-wire as ordered. :beat:

The motor and actuator rod weigh in at a mighty 114g. The boot release cable itself probably weighs more than that. Also means I can probably lose half the OE locking mechanism as well. :D

Plus, you know me and my history with bootlids. ;)

I was bagging up some coke things to post, so luckily had some scales on the desk in front of me. Not sure I'd have made the effort otherwise.

I use external bonnet and boot race catches, I run neither the bonnet nor boot pull cables and can get my clams off in 30 minutes a piece. No security though.

I'm trying to save skin, blood and frustration. At my age, the former are both starting to become limited in supply. Whereas, I seem to have a surplus of the last. Bling would be to have gas struts and blue neons that come on when it opens.
