Easier to just avoid Pagid's, I'd have thought. The CL RC5+ residue seems to come straight off with a pressure washer, no matter how long it's been sat there.

I'll let you know how a proper test of that goes :P

All bets are off when it comes to you. Leaving the dust on for three years is not a fair test - I'm talking more like 3-6 months. Plus you've got French wheels, so who knows what they're made of. :P

:P
They seem to take kerbing well

Wonder if this rubber spray could make for an alternative to condoms chinky chinky

Don't forget as it expands it will get cold quickly. Don't want frost bite just there!

I must admit I wouldn't have thought about spraying that, it's a bit of an odd surface. I haven't come across anyone who has said it has peeled off their wheels yet.

If you do get some then let me know how you all get on as i will be interested to see how it all turns out. I will say that it is very weired stuff almost like rubber when you peel it off.

Purchased some Plasti Dip on friday and last night painted both my screen and front v black. will post up some pictures later but its pretty amazing stuff and makes the whole process of spraying from a can easy given you can peal off the excess. looking at doing my petrol cap to.

My mate has used it in the past and says it great. He did his wheels and they lasted a while. Like anything, once on it'll stay put but as soon as you get a hole appear in the plastic then the lot has to be sprayed again.

Have used this in the past, seen people use it on wheels, the black isnt really black black, more a grey black so wont have that great finish of a paint. Also, it is rubber to the touch, so anyone thinking of using it say on the dash etc be prepared to have a rubber surface feel to it once done.

You can get a lacquer to go over the top to make it shiney now.

They also do Camo colours, Florescents and glow in the dark!

I want to play with it :-D

Just make sure you do it in a garage out of the elements, it can easily dissipate as soon as you spray it and end up getting everywhere.

Check out my gallery pics..... i plasti-dpped my front V, my interior alu panels around the radio etc and my front splitter, great stuff. Fully reversable strong and durable doesnt chip like paint (perfect for the V) and you can literally take a sharp blade to it pick up a corner and start peeling off to remove.

I have my dash panels and centre console done in black plasti dip, it goes on well, generally looks and feels good, black is a bit grey and patchy but it is not very durable to anything slightly abrasive, for example if i chuck a canvas style gym bag across into the passenger side and it rubs the centre console it took it off on the corners. My hand brake handle deteriorated first and easily peeled off.

Used it on my door triangles, quite tough. Might try it on the V and windscreen srround.

What is it like for covering imperfections on the surface? My door triangles have been vinyl wrapped and show loads of lumps and bumps underneath, would the plasti-coat hide these imperfections?
