"Bighead" fasteners...

T'is how mine are fitted, though I think mine are the M5 version. Just need to loosen off the nuts a couple of turns and the ear comes straight out (obviously after removing the other bolts). Had to get some instant grab adhesive to attach them though as they were inclined to run away and slide down the panel with tigerseal.

Progress halted as my Jacknuts didn't arrive this week.

Got some black bolts for the ears, so that'll look neater than the alloy socket heads fitted currently.
Also managed to close the gap at the top of the ear, so looks a lot neater.

Bought some "Bigheads" for fastening the rear of the ears to the sill upright, far nicer than loads of tiger seal splodge.

Stainless steel with M6 threads. So I can bond them to the sill upright and have removable ears rather than permanently fixed ones.

Jacknuts will hopefully arrive asap and work can continue. Wanna drive it now!

Its no good them being on the desk. How about fitting them :P

Only test fitted so far, on passenger side, drivers side still to do.
Took an hour to get to where we are now.
Need to paint the inside of the sill black (where the old part bonded on), so that when its seen through the sill doesn't stand out.

Another Turbo wanna be

Looking good Sir thumbsup

Bit further again today, was out car hunting for someone else so that was the morning. Anyway, we've got the rear clam back on, all fastenings done up and it's looking more like a car. Carpet set fitted, both seats in place (need a couple of new bolts for the rear of the drivers seat). M8x20mm Socket Cap I think.

Yep, just need to grab those bolts today from SWG. Also, the black ones I bought for the ears that have the wrong thread... What do I need?
