whats the insurance loading on 370bhp , another 25% ?

Nothing like! :)

Henderson-Taylor quoted me less than my st4 insurance from last year!!!

Think from st4 - 370bhp was about another £54 but the walshy days gave me more than that off with the discount! :)

Cable throttle ace! :)

Held off getting back to you on this Chris as Dave & I wanted to make a couple of adjustments to it before we were perfectly happy but can confirm now it's the finished item :)

It's slightly heavier than oe, but only very slightly, & for the better for it as its much more controllable!

The real difference that going to cable makes is that your foot is in direct control of the throttle body, 25% at the pedal is always 25% at the TB, no ECU in the middle trying to guess what you want or interfering!

It makes the power delivery very very smooth and you feel much more connected to the engine, so all good :)

Also with the cable throttle pedal that Dave's designed you can adjust EVERYTHING, pedal height, pedal depth, pedal travel, feel on the cable from soft to hard, how you like the feel of the pedal when returning under your foot, EVERYTHING! can't do that with oe! ;)

All in all Chris you'll be very happy with it! thumbsup

Well had the car back for a couple of days now so had chance to clean everything up :)

When I started I wanted the engine bay to look 'OE'+ not like I'd done it myself... which I had, just didn't want it to look like it!!!

Anyway its ended up exactly as I wanted :)

You know as well as me John that these things don't just 'happen'!!!

The alloy inside the heat shield took 2 days to do,and the Nimbus behind the intake pipe about another 9 hours!

And I must have spent all of yesterday repositioning water pipes, vac pipes, adjusting jubilee clips ect till I was happy with the way everything was!

Sad I know... but it's all in the detail!!! :)

Been over at Dave Hardwicks today where he very kindly let me use his ramp to take a look at where the oil leak was coming from Imnotworthy

Anyone who was at the Midlands Meet on Sunday will have seen the car smoking away & smelling eau de '10W50' whenever it pulled up :(

It looked like the base of the rocker cover to block oil pipe so took it off to have a look...

How the fk is it that out... you could almost stick a 1p piece in the 'off' so Dave very kindly machined it back for me, but the quality control on some of the parts supplied has been shocking to say the least and its why weeks after the build finished we are still tracking down the final 'niggles' easier to live with if you find it's something we'd not torqued up correctly, but more annoying when you find its just its just crap parts thumbsdown

Quick look under the car at the trays when I got back though and looks like its sorted now, will check properly Sunday tho! :)
