It might be if you stop posting and start spannering. Don't give me the "But I am at work" excuse, just doesn't wash with me.

I get up at 5am to help with my son, work for 7 about 5 get home, walk dog, have a run, feed son help get him down, catch up with my woman for an hr. Do 1-2 hrs on car stuff. Sleep and repeat mon-fri sat and sunday is balance family life with 22 month old son, shopping etc and rest of weekend on vx stuff. Work is usual full on with very little time in new role. Reflected in drop off in help and guidance on the boards

Medal in the post im sure lol

Sounds no different to my life DG so violins from me. I managed to build and compete in a Time Attack Car.

Mike, just a thought, but if you stopped taking your non existent dog for walks it might give you some extra "you time"

Can't wait for this to be finished!!!!!!!!!!!!

What ECU you using Dunc?

Oe management sir, got all the fancy saftey features VAG spent ££££ on and has a super special map for linear power delivery and can be configured also by user if you want mega low down torque. Also 25% pedal = 25% tb which further adds to a very responsive setup and do what you want from it

All ecu work completed now and recently had an tweaked map ready for testing

WTF???

Seriously, building something that is designed to fit and just upgrading stuff is easy. Hence a full Garrett install, engine / box change and bit of work to join custom exhaust together and custom inlet will take me 2 full days max.

I built my track car - put a full sr20det conversion together in the La Gold pro comp chassis (7 style car) from start to finish in 2 weeks in between my busy schedule. Finally got it out and over 5hrs on track last month with 1 minor issue fixed in 20mins and there was nothing std about that engine and box fitting easy

I have more than just cars to build / fix in my window of time outside of a very busy & stressful full time job. Had a bloody tough few years and not looking for any sympathy from anyone but us both loosing our fathers last year one of which a horrible 6 months with cancer, good lady finishing the degree in the middle of this and working full time for 5 months non paid, buying a house and moving are just a few extra challenges we have faced on top of our 1st child

I think you’re a great guy Mike and known you for sometime and maybe I am reading too much into your comments but they do seem quite direct for some unkown reason?

I would love to enter a race series in the future but know this will not happen for some years, maybe never but it’s a trade off for more important things in my life. Wish you all the luck in the time attack series and fair play for making it happen in your also busy life schedule

However, perhaps it was a tongue in cheek way of saying don't take too much on if you can't finish it ;) Although, we all know it's "only another 2 weeks" right?

Far from it, there are more factors tham just me for how long things take. I just dont go on about them. House move and injury in car accident were not planned but oh well life goes on Lol love this place at times.

:yeahthat: I read Cliffie's response as light hearted and an arm round the shoulders. Having kids and working hard is something I can relate to, building cars to whatever level is something I can't so full respect to both of you.

:yeahthat: Moved into my 1st place with the g/f 10months ago and havent had a spare minute since so I hate to think what it would be like with even more commitments! Keep up the work DG, one of my favourite threads. Most of it goes over the head but for some reason I still find it interesting :)
