Great letter

just hope Vaxhall dont ignore this like most big companies do.

Good luck!

I don't think they can. Its not something like a paint issue, its a safety issue which could have serious repercussions if not addressed.

its a safety issue which could have serious repercussions if not addressed.

I think if the company are aware of the problem, do nothing, and the worst happens, there's a strong case for corporate manslaughter. It doesn't get much more serious than that.

You can put my name down too. (Neil Broome)

Jim,

Great letter and very well put. I know realize that I've had this problem but had assumed it was my driving!:

However, the VX220 system does not seem to hold the wheels anywhere near the point of lock-up, and the sensation from the driver’s seat is that the brakes have almost been removed entirely.

Might not have had the VX long, but already had a couple of incidents with this, (what I can say, I was just enthusiastic about trying out my new car! :) ) I agree with Thorney - lets see what happens after the national meet, but if the letter still needs to go then please add my name too.

Thanks for taking the time to write the letter.

I am happy for you to add my name to the senders. And having covered nearly 26,000 miles in my Turbo I KNOW there is a problem.

Keep up the good work.

Good points and well put. you obviously have good self restraint by not showing any anger or emotional words. Hope it does some good. In the mean time im going to see if decent pads all round and new brake fluid help a little, I know the abs system is still at fault

thumbsup Jocelyn Manners-Armstrong However after my experience with Volvo denying any possibility of malfunctioning or even overreactive braking systems, I am a little cynical about how far we can get. Lets hope there is power in collective action!
