Time flies, 3 months of my mortgage left! Although I spent the rest of the money I'll not be paying off a mortgage with, next year, on Monday, damn these 0% balance transfer credit card offers.

Hmmm... new car?

Yup :D

While having a late breakfast, attired in dressing gown and slippers, a knock on the door revealed a rather soggy next door neighbour. There then came a tail of major disaster from his part of the Creek, major land slide, road blocked, drains blocked and the danger of immanent flooding. ‘We need heavy equipment’ he said, and you are the man! Quickly donned waterproof gear, and went and fired up the JCB, and arrived at a scene of debris all over the place. Spent a good two hours removing earth, rocks and silt from the road and drains. Got soaked in the process, held up lots of traffic on a small country road, roped in passers by to turn back traffic, relieved an old man of the terrible thought that his little cottage might be flooded….It was my good turn for a neighbour, in true Christmas spirit, I’m feeling good about it. :grouphug: Not so lucking my other neighbours further up the valley, they were flooded out. :o

Now that you mentioned it, a JCB 1.5 ton mini digger was on my Christmas wish list…fat chance of finding it under the tree on Christmas Day though!!

It's been the worst that I have ever seen it. Any compacted surface..path, foot path, low lying ground, has a torrent of water flowing along it. It must have been really bad in the early hours of the morning.
Anyway, got my boat on a trailer in the garden...just in case

Changing my boost control valve didn't turn into an awful job. Collected my daughter after a week with her grandparents; she was missed. Got to see my mother and grandmother, did a few jobs for my mum that seemed successful. Think the new fuel pump has actually cured the fuel starvation issue on my Focus. Sprog is out with a friend and their parents so I get to take my wonderful wife out for dinner. Nothing massive but all in all a good day!
