But if there were a thread about what makes you sad then it would be that he told me that his wife died in her sleep 18 months ago. :( RIP June. :grouphug:

Not happy in a 'happy' sense, but i've always felt uneasy about this bloke and his motives. So happy my sense of moral code is bang on if he's proven guilty

“We have carefully considered the evidence gathered as part of Operation Yewtree in relation to Max Clifford, who was initially arrested on 6 December 2012 over allegations of sexual offences.

“Having completed our review, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr Clifford to be charged with 11 offences of indecent assault relating to seven complainants. The charges are:

One offence of indecent assault relating to a girl, aged 14, in 1966
One offence of indecent assault relating to a woman, aged 18, in 1974/75
Three offences of indecent assault relating to a girl, aged 15, in 1977/78
One offence of indecent assault relating to a woman, aged 19, in 1978
Two offences of indecent assault relating to a girl, aged 16 or 17, in 1981/82
One offence of indecent assault relating to a woman, aged 19, in 1980/81
Two offences of indecent assault relating to a woman, aged 18, in 1984/85
“Mr Clifford will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 28 May 2013.

“We have also decided that there is insufficient evidence to authorise charges in relation to three separate allegations. These decisions were taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors and our guidance for prosecutors on sexual offences.

"May I remind all concerned that Mr Clifford has a right to a fair trial. It is very important that nothing is said, or reported, which could prejudice that trial. For these reasons it would be inappropriate for me to comment further.”

He often felt like the Joker to me, collecting and profiteering from the other blood sucking 'celebrities'. I couldn't agree further with you feelings towards him.

Roof off, cruising around with my youngest nephew (2yo) tunes on, sun on our faces, the occasional blat, high-fives from the little'un as he danced in his seat, big grins and loads of laughter. Ice lollies & sweets before dinner. Good times.

I don't know if you remember but the original Gary Glitter trial but he was tried for having sex with an underage girl. Clifford had negotiated a deal with the NOTW which would give the girl more money if Glitter was convicted. This forced the judge to throw out that part of the case meaning Glittter got a fairly light sentence and went abroad to Vietnam to abuse again.

I have no idea of the truth about the allegations against him, but I've always hated the guy and cannot understand why he was always wheeled out on TV shows with this title of 'PR guru', or why people with a story to sell go to this tw@.

So you're not the only one who had a sense of moral code about him.

I met a proper old school suspension specialist this afternoon Talked suspension and geo's for two hours straight and learnt shed loads. Always nice to meet people who properly know what they are talking about, and it's nice to have 100% faith in a person who you entrust your car with :)
