Just been checking some more and actually there have been a few with the same symptoms when the alternator died - dash lights come on, engine cuts out, won't restart Does the alternator light come on when the ignition is switched on ?

Thanks for the offer

My car seems to always be broken and it's fcuking killing me
I lost a days money today because of it.
But it's one of the old ones and now is the time for it to fall apart I guess.....

I'll keep trying until it's going again !
Just wish I had power in the garage and a lift !!!!!

you can change the alternator through the driver side rear wheel arch, all the arch liner bolts have copper grease on them :) ps: disconnect the battery first

you can modify the 100 Amp alternator for the 2.4 manifold with it fitted, so best to just get your car back on the road and then fit the 2.4 manifold another time
