May resort to oil cooler on my track beast when power goes up this year and also ease off the job of the water rad. Cant remember which 7 beastie thing levante? Had a similar setup but with different setup for getting air out. Have a pic somewhere Interested to see how it is after DG

i had too much in the nosecone really for it to work

a guy with a r1 engined car saw temps go from 130 to 99 by running external to the engine bay which sounds good, im running the turbo cooler out the other side too just to balance it out really though t it would look odd one sided

this side is bigger than the n/s by 4cm width wise as i use a larger cooler for the turbo

i think it looks good, im happy with its shape, will look alot better once is the same colour as the car im sure

Are you happy it's not in the line of fire from the front tyre when you've got some lock on?

This is surely one of the best engineering projects on this forum. I think the only reason is doesn't receive more attention is because it's not a VX, and therefore harder for us to relate to.

I bet it's seriously fun on track   thumbsup

and there was me thinking because i wasn't cool enough?

i think its nice to see people cars and what they get up to, even if there not in fitting with the forum as such, some of the best ideas i have seen that have helped have been from other car models or forums that you would never think to be looking for inspiration from.

i am no expert and have made a fair few mistakes along my car builds but if you dont have a go you will never know what you can do or achieve

Can I ask what it uses for a brake light switch?  Trying to find a neat solution (I have a dual cylinder pedal box btw).

Have a pressure switch on mine that needs huge effort to come on so connected a microswitch behind the brake pedal.  Found that on track with sticky tyres it then bent the switch arm due to more travel than on the road.

yes i also run a micro switch but infront of the pedal box and i run the switch in reverse ill get you a pic of how i made the mounts for both sides, i also use a clutch switch the same for full throttle gear change

Ah a pic would be great, thanks very much.  Did think about reversing it but couldn't figure a neat way of getting it to the pedal without getting in the way of my feet.
