Glad you are ok. At the risk of stating the obvious, I would say that the lorry was close to its drop off as the driver was unsure of where he was going in that local vicinity. Have a scan of a map of that area and see if there are any obvious destinations it might have been visiting. Plus I would say there is a high chance of seeing said lorry there at the same time next week.

Hi, yeah we popped in to the near by Sainsburys to ask if they had any deliveries etc and we had no luck! May take a trip down next week to see if he's about!

I take it that's the guy at Back on Track? I sent them an email via the website. I'll give them a call in the morning.

Grab yourself one of these puppies... Roadhawk

Yeah, right, that would have helped. You might get something usable from a Roadhawk if you're in a floodlit football stadium but on an unlit road at night, you'd get chuff all of any use. Much better to have the £200 in your pocket to be able to use for the clam repairs.

It was on the A35 near Christchurch. it's a very dark stretch of road that goes to 2 lanes for about 500 yards for overtaking.

:D

True, but even you'd be suprised Matt, Roadhawks are pretty good, even at night.

Anyway, still def worth getting.

Goose, i rang BOT today and they were excellent! Jez is a really nice guy, he made me feel my car would be in good hands! We've decided i can drive the car there which will save me the cost of hiring a trailer. I've bodged the clam up with some duck tape and it's much stronger now so will be fine to drive. Just have to send over a few more photos of the sill damage and then his painter will have a look on Monday and send me a quote.

Yeah Dan is my brother. We've had VX's in the family for years now. He has had a few but currently has a Z4 which he is looking to sell to buy a TVR.

Does anyone have any idea how much a set of front turbo splitters are? I can only find the Carbon ones at £85. they're not broken but a little beaten up and i think it will really stand out once the rest of it is mint! Also going to buy a new metro mirror at Silverlake tomorrow. I'd love to know how much Vauxhall charge for a new mirror haha! i'm paying a tenner!

A used set should be around £20. I can't recall if autovaux or Vauxhall still sell them still. Stick a wanted ad up.

Done. Goose just found out that Back on Track use this company for some of their body repair. http://www.whiterose...e.com/Body.html

They look great and have even done work on F1 and Le Mans cars! Quite a way from BOT though..?

Spoken to BOT who have said it's going to cost around 2.5k to repair. Unfortunately i just don't have that sort of money and i'm deploying for 7 months in July so it's best to sell. Looking for £6000.
