Should we avoid any quick starts until this situation is resolved? thumbsdown

(Ah, are the side mounts the ones that don't tend to break from traffic light GP?)

Just dont change gear like a toss piece and less keeness in 1st will make them last.

And yes its the sides that fail under TLGP/Emergency start conditions.
Wasnt there someone on the forum making them, dubious quality but still.

If you're buying the filter housing tools, you'll theoretically never need to replace the seals again in the future. Hasn't stopped me keeping a handful here, just in case, though.

Awesome, 50 quid each and I'm rich!

Seriously though, I managed to reduce the 40 odd I had left :angry2: down to 10 which I was planning on keeping for my own servicing.

Balls, glad I've had both of mine replaced recently. Did the driver's one myself for £40 from Autovaux and the passenger one was broken when I had my cambelt done. I thought I got screwed over paying £75 for the part from Vauxhall (was done by main dealer with cambelt) but those new prices are completely insane! Why haven't Autovaux ordered more, surely there must be demand for them? Can we find their supplier and do a group buy?

So I can confirm that Vauxhall are indeed selling the Lotus Europa mounts now. I am still waiting for the Omega diesel engine mount to arrive, so will post info once it's here.

Omega diesel mount arrived today, rather than being the genuine item I ordered it was a pattern part thumbsdown

So I can only confirm that the pattern part Omega mount is 5mm taller than a genuine vx220 mount, so if it's an an exact copy then the Omega diesel mount is not the same :(

The actual height of the mount, between chassis and the mounting bracket, so the engine would sit slightly higher :(

That's disappointing, although not unexpected as I've had a few pattern parts turn up rather than original parts. The wording is very grey on some of these ebay shops.

Aren't these the same part on both sides, in which case wouldn't it be more acceptable if you replaced both with the slightly larger part?

and add 5mm of strain on some already strained lower mounts etc....

although it would help slightly with driveshaft angles for those who lower the fcuk out of the cars
