Calipers seem a good price. Let us know how you get on! What was involved in the re-cat? I thought you still had oem cat anyway? On the running temp, unless the clam is off I wouldn't worry too much about the extra fan removal. The down side is that it takes ages to drop the temp when in traffic with one small fan and the charge cooler rad in the way. I think getting the air channeled through the rads rather than round them made the biggest improvement on mine. And we need pictures!

yep it is a good price, that's why im going to take a punt. I'll report back the quality of service and then recommend or not.

 

recat is basically just putting a new cat in because my last one melted.

 

front clam has to come off to fix the damage caused by the hit and run so might as well fill the gaps round the rads and take one of the fans off.

 

I have a solution to heat traffic issues, as soon as your coming to a stop, just turn the fan on, the last time I did this it never broke 100

By the way: New pads and discs - I'm still running those Mintex 1144s and Brembo discs I picked up new from you in 2010... fitted them the same weekend and they're still like new!

since 2010 I cant even count how many pads I have been through... and wow is that how long we have been vx-ing

my garage is not that small, it just looks it in photos for some reason, you can get a jack down both sides of the car and I have a chest freezer, but with all the vx parts about it does feel much smaller
