Bit of an update on the original repair. Dave saved my car from the scrap yard and got it back on the road for basically peanuts. The quality of the repair was... questionable due to issues with time and facilities, as Dave admits himself. So, I just happened to meet a pro bodywork specialist who lives 100yrds from me. We got talking and long story short, he's currently making it right. I will report back with pics when it's finished. He's a perfectionist and has pretty much started again right down to the fibre glass repair, flatting off the paint, respraying most of it then two coats of lacquer. He's promised 'showroom standard' finishing. All this for a very reasonable price. NE / north yorks people may be interested in this guy.

Been for a quick peek today. He's sorted the headlight fixings so it now fits flush again, has gone round every panel gap, sanded back all the little dribbles from the last job, done another full respray then 3 coats of top quality lacquer. He's just got to fit my new carbon fibre tubby spoiler and splitters, give it a good polish and I pick it up Saturday. He's happy for me to pass his number on if anyone wants work doing so just pm me. Quality job, just wish he'd not been in 'retirement' when I had the crash!

glad to hear it's getting tidied up. The beauty of fibreglass is it's very forgiving of repairs, get them wrong and you can just cut it out and start again.
