Guess he didn't factor in any masking-off in that uber low price, jusging by the blue alarm siren, loom and rad shroud. :P Looks pretty good from here though. thumbsup

Haha well spotted! To be fair for £400 he could have painted the tyres blue and I wouldn't care. Anyway I've always thought the loom could do with a bit of livening up...

Jobs going to stall when he realises the headlight falls out every time you stop at the lights :D For 400 you can't go wrong but that overspray is a disgrace! It takes half a minute to mask off. I fact if he's done a proper grp repair the clam must have been off so why spray it in situ? I reckon you'll be getting it redone in a couple of months.

The oem setup is an 'L' shaped bracket that is a structural part of the clam, if broken but you still had the piece you'd fibre glass it back into position before painting. Be interested to see what he does :)

Here's a pic of james141's which we fibreglassed to make it rigid, bridging the break.

That hole in the middle is the sole point the headlight is bolted to so without it I'm not sure what he's going to do.

one of my headlight brackets was replaced with an ally one last time mine got repaired, might be an option?

If you're happy with the work when you get the car back, i'll have his number please.  :D

I am sure he's capable if securing the headlight. He breaks and fixes cars for a living after all. Thanks for the tips though! Just bought some cornering force spec Nitron NTRs so I'm now almost giddy with excitement about getting it back and set up properly.

Final bits and polishing being done tonight for collection in the morning. As he ended up fixing 3 separate bits of bodywork and doing some extra black detailing the final price is £650. This includes almost £200 of materials. Still pretty damn good!
