Cheers guys. This has come three months after someone went into the back of my shed and wrote it off!

He was clearly at fault as I was on the roundabout and he pulled on to it without looking. Give way to the right and all that. Plus I've got an eye witness in case he tries to wriggle out of it.

I've had a look at it and I don't think there's any chassis damage so probably gonna be a cat D. Have told insurance I want the car back to repair if it is written off. Can't believe there's gonna be yet another Cat D/C out there  :(

I'm so PISSED OFF! He was deaf and half blind and about 80 and tried to make out it was my fault the HE hadn't seen ME! WTF is he doing in charge of a car??

Either gonna need a new clam and bumper and front pax light (any ideas how much for all this?) or I've already shown it to a fibreglass repairer / resprayer who was about to respray my front clam anyway and he thinks he can actually repair it but I'm not sure what it'll turn out like. Will get some pics up soon.

Trying to find positives in the situation... If I get a decent payout, get the car back repaired cheaply then I may have enough left over to supercharge the fecker!  :)

Gonna get wankered tonight to take the pain away :drink:

Don't forget there's the new JB clam option to repair it.  That may sway if its written off or not.

Sorry to hear this. I too would be pissed off. But the main thing is no-one is hurt.

Ouch! Hope all goes well and you're handsomely paid out! I have people pulling out/nearly pulling out on roundabouts everyweek!? Johnny's coloured clam replacement would work nicely.

Very sorry to see this gutted for you. Some idiot reversed into me a few years ago. New front clam only and had to wait 9 months for the clam. The JB clam should make your experience a much better one. Think positive you will have it back on the road looking brand new in no time.

That's really sad to see matey. Hopefully you can get it fixed ASAP and put the whole incident behind you. No-one hurt, that's the main thing.

Oh what a cock, sorry to see this. Unfortunately it's yet another incident I've heard about involving an elderly driver this week. An old lady crashed through a doctors surgery wall knocking a pram over on the way through, near to where my mum lives earlier this week. Apparently she was trying to park. And only 15 mins ago I witnessed an elderly woman nearly running a man over on the pedestrian crossing at the local supermarket. She didn't have a clue, it was one of those '5000rpm then lift the clutch up and shoot forward' moments. How many incidents and deaths have to occur before a mandatory test is introduced? It's long overdue. :( All the best for the repair, glad to hear you weren't hurt. :)

Have to agree mate, he was utterly unaware I was on the roundabout and I was going very sensible speeds in heavy traffic. He just didn't look. I am very determined for this car not to be written off for good so would appreciate any help and advice on offer to get it back on the road. Obviously a lot depends on the insurance claim. Nervous wait now...
