I like Scarbs idea of the McLaren 2012 nose adapted by extending the snowplough

I think that article has that term wrong. I thought it was 'power unit'.

It also calls a compressor a turbine, turbines extract work from a fluid

All surprising errors considering I THINK it was written by Gary Anderson.

HRT F1 ( ex Campos Meta 1 and Hispania Racing ) , went at the end of 2012

Seems today that Sutil has a contract with Sauber , which still leaves Gutierez unconfirmed as his teammate.

Bianchi seems to be confirmed with Marussia

Sutil now confirmed

the only way I can see double points being acceptable is if some weekends were a double header , get rid of practice and just have quali , race 1 , race 2

I quite like the idea of no car ----> pit -----> car radio.

I think the number of points should be fixed , so you can compare year to year , regardless of number of races , so 1000 points the maximum for a perfect season , then split that up across the races with a weighting.

I like this, as it annoys me how they keep comparing vettel to the greats like Senna, prost, mansell, even Schumacher (who I'm not the biggest fan of but no-one can deny the blokes talent!) the only reason he's beaten their records is as hes had twice as many races to do it in!

That way you could lift the points on a percentage basis of prior seasons with not as many races in the calendar, for a truer comparison between then and now.

Obviously it only used to be 10 points for a race win and points 1-6th unlike 25 now and points 1-10th

F1 TV figures plummet

The Grand Prix of the America’s delivered the lowest UK TV viewing figures for any race since the Bahrain GP of 2007. Around 2.5m people bothered to watch the race live or on the BBC highlights.

BBC One screened their edited recording from 22:25 and averaged just 1.71m viewers, whilst the newly shortened SKY ‘race show’ delivered and average of 761,000 down 55,000 on 2012.

The season finale, historically a favourite with many fans, was equally as devastating for the UK broadcasters. BBC One broadcast a live race show and attracted an average of 3.45m whilst Sky Sports F1′s live coverage averaged just 499,000.

The combined average of 3.95m was the lowest since at least the 2005 race, as data has been collected in the present format since 2006.

I think a lot of that is nothing to do with rules but rather Vettel's dominance - I watch every race but didn't watch 2 or 3 of the last 4 because championship was sewn up.
