Just assuming atm but most probably is and has ruined/blocked oil pump. As Vocky thinks it's this it mostpprobably is as he's god lol.

I have an engine break in additive that I used, good stuff. Sorry to hear the tale of woe and sorry I am not closer. Still, tis only a long day as Joe says as long as it is a straight swap.

Did the first 100 miles with a mineral oil Now on fully synthetic for the next 900 or so Change oil filter after 100 miles vocky said so I did

Cheers Stuwy looking like this weekend will be starting. Unless I can get Friday off will let you all know thanks for all the offers. Need to order clutch cover and slave plus flywheel bolts and some oil today.

As said on Facebook, sorry to hear this.

 

I'm at stag do next saturday day, and night, which means Sunday might be a bit of a write-off for me but if you are doing stuff then and I feel up to it I might be able to swing by Sunday afternoon? The weekend after I'm at MBR on the sat but free on the Sunday?

 

Not sure how much, if any, help I'd be but happy to lend some muscle to someone else's technical expertise or even courier parts or whatever on the day?

 

Re the straight swap, have you got an external trigger wheel etc sorted?

 

And note to self, when powdercoating my cam cover, make sure they don't media/sand blast it first

Right, a quick update. Ordered from CS arriving tomorrow Fast road clutch and cover incl new bolts Slave New flywheel bolts Sandwich plate oil seals Other bits n bobs from various places purchased 10/40 oil New manifold nuts Manifold gasket parts scrounged (cheers Graeme) Oil cooler Manifold parts needed Replacement cam cover if anyone has one PM me I've got the one off my engine before I swapped but is messy and full of chocolate moose and a plastic one but not sure how good it is. looking for a oem alloy one in good condition. looking at starting strip down on Saturday and continuing Sunday hoping to get running by end of weekend.

Just the usual two lol. Have a mate with me on Saturday for stripdown. And hopefully Lee on Sunday but not had a reply from him yet. Plus Stuwy on Sunday PM. Sunday refit is when I'm going to need some experienced hands.
