I very much realise this and was just interested if it felt slow com paired the his SC VX which had around 40 ft lb more torque.

Five o'clock had one of these and he was kind enough to let me drive it. Lovely predictable car but cosseting compared to the rawness of the VX.

Hmm not sure he did. Do you mean his S1 Elise with the motorsport body?  I really do get what you mean.  Although part of me when I first get in it and see lovely dash and dials it just feels like a more modern VX inside if you like.  The looks outside are wonderful but equally both very different. The drive is cosseted but yet to drive in total anger if you get my drift.

As goose says very much different cars. Infact more different arguably than the VX and the Exige.

I had a 240R which Mike drove. 240R was the predecessor to the 240 Cup which was the predecessor to yours. However 240R is different to the Cup cars in that it has a 5th injector for the idle and a reflashed NA ECU.   Similar experience but less power than yours and more raw than yours.
