a little?? At the moment they are over 50% heavierI was told they were a 'little' heavier than the Turini's which are 7kg's.

I will be well fcuked off if they are, i dont want to go rallying in pig iron boots

Then i was waiting to in there waiting room, a bloke comes out and says to me there is something wrong with the wheels, so i follow him to where they are and he picks up a wheel and says you have no chance getting them on your Lotus.

...and black rear badges (to match the VSE) and then a black, de-badged front V!i havn't put the centre caps on yet as they need the black treatment along with window surround, lights, fuel filler.

Will be interested to know how getting the bits coloured black goes as I've been intending to do the same thing for a while. The black V wasn't to hard, black badges were easy. Windscreen surround could be tricky and fuel filler surround doesn't come off despite the screws suggesting that it ought, looks like it will have to be sprayed in-situ.
Ben
P.S. ...and smoked side repeaters, but don't bother with the black, turbo lights as i think it makes the car look squinty. The silver in the headlights gives them definition.

No, the Fuel Filler Ring can be removed... A kind of a seal is put between the clamshell and this ring that may look like the ring is glued... That's not the case...Windscreen surround could be tricky and fuel filler surround doesn't come off despite the screws suggesting that it ought, looks like it will have to be sprayed in-situ.

Just pull..... Softly !

Er... you did weigh them by subtraction I hope?I don't know if my scales are correct or not, maybe it was because i had to put them on at an odd angle.
Your weight = W
Your weight holding a wheel = Y
Therefore, Y-W = weight of wheel

If you just put a wheel on the scales by itself it will be far less accurate.
Chuck's measurements, if done this way, are a big disappointment. Compared to the Lotus light weight hubs and Speedline multispokes, the VXR set up would be still struggling with a serious unsprung weight disadvantage.
N/A stock front 9.8kg, N/A stock rear 11.6kg
Speedline VXR Wheel front 10.7kg
