But your engine is water cooled not air cooled.

If our friends at Vauxhall have done their calcs right then you can drive your car on a stinking hot day in traffic and it'll be fine.

And 110 while it seems high won't kill an engine, 130 didn't kill mine in traffic (under load or on track is a different story)

Photo was to help show the idea the OP was talking about.

Already too much in my engine bay for a big fan, even the ingress kit

Unless you have modded your rear clam in a similar fashion as to what I have done it probably won't be of much interest but I've installed a 10'' fan onto the inner wall of the boot compartment. This extracts hot air away from the turbo / downpipe area, pushes it through some removable ducting in the boot space and then out of some vents in the back. I'm yet to test with a heat probe for any meaningful temperature readings etc but simply putting your hand by the vents you can feel warm air being blown out so I'm confident it will be having some effect. Currently I have only run it off a separate battery in the boot purely to see it working but I'm thinking I could quite easily piggy back it onto the radiator fan so it comes on with that?

I haven't taken any photos of the actual set up yet but will update this thread here when I eventually get round to fully completing the mod.

In my experience, the most effective way to extract hot air from the engine bay is utilising pressure differentials between the diff parts of the car, you get far more volume flow that way. I know it's not a solution for everyone as it increases noise, smell and dirt, but I will take a video + temp reading of my bulkhead vent hole, the sheer volume and high temps of the air coming out are astonishing - way more than even multiple 12" fans.

I've always wondered why such a big rad is specified for the sc charge cooler. The water in the catch tank re never gets beyond luke warm and yet the rad for it blocks the airflow for the normal rad. Why couldn't one half that size be used?

Yesterday I was working on acidpopstars stage 2 SC here is his intake temps with a small rad in the ear

Even when cruising and it was also around 15 degrees outside temp
The inlet temps never dropped below 62 degrees

So I think the bigger rads are necessary
