That's the best exhaust I've seen on a VX, very impressive!

Looking really good mate. are you going to have to modify the booth to allow for clearance in the manifold and flap actuator bit? looks like it sticks up a bit?...

Im going to remove the boot completely mopey and put some rear cutouts in the clam to let the heat escape. This was the plan all along. Although i will be keeping parts to house the air filter and maybe just the points where it sits on the subframe etc .

Exhaust very nearly complete.we started by breaking the manifold back down to seperate runners and then welding them whilst back purging on all welds.

Posted Image

Oncee all the runners where completed it was rime to put them all back together.

Posted Image

One almost complete manifold

Posted Image

Next we put it on the engine and started positioning and adding the wastagate outlet tube to the downpipe. Heres the finished result.

Posted Image

Posted Image

We needed to cut a hole in the collector for the wastegate to attatch to..

Posted Image

This took a while but we got there eventually.

Posted Image

Finally we managed to make the runner to the wastegate and attatch it. This is how its sat at the moment.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Next up will be the lamba and egt boss' and to finish putting the flex section on the wastegate outlet and the exhaust system will be complete :) oh and add the second tailpipe....

Rite its been a while since my last update. Still not a massive amount of work completed. Exhaust is finally finished with the twin tailpipes. Posted Image EGT sensor bung has been added to the manifold. Posted Image Rear calipers are fitted. Just waiting for a new. Bigger caliper spacer kit to arrive. Posted Image Got to this stage. When i was waiting on pistons. Sadly when they came back 3 out of 5 where damaged so i decided id send them back to be replaced Posted Image Damaged pistons Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Im still waiting on my replacements which should arrive before the end of the month. I decided whilst im waiting il pull the engine and begin the tear down so out it come and onto the stand. You can see in this pic, the turbo oil feed line we put together and how weve used the standard water lines adjusted with a bit of persuasion to where we need them. Posted Image On the stand and starting the tear down Posted Image In no time atall the head and sump was off and the pistons and rods out. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Table full of stripped parts and new gaskets etc for the rebuild. http://i1375.photobu...zpslfznbhkt.jpg Next i whipped out the under piston oil squirters and got down to giving the bores a new cross hatch. Think it come out pretty reasonable seemings i just used a flex hone to do it. Slightly glazed bores http://i1375.photobu...zpseopexxjz.jpg And the difference between the freshly honed cylinder bores and the slightly worn ones. http://i1375.photobu...zpsg2fm9dq0.jpg The piston rings have all been filed down to wisecos specs and now im waiting on pistons to arrive. Next well be balancing the rods and pistons. Doing a "block mod" and then putting everything back together :) bring on the wiring :/ Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

If the akrapovic tips are carbon fibre, you may want to reconsider.

A poor swiss guy got this on his first test run.

He had fueling issues, but they certainly do not seem to like heat.
