I expect I'm totally wrong but I'm fairly new to the vx scene , own a stage 2 s\c , isn't the saab b207 engine a 2 litre , so this one you have built up is bored out to a 2.2 ? In the future I'm looking to go to stage 3 and read it is best to use the saab engine but can't a 2.2 ? Wish I could buy this one :/ best of luck with the sale anyway !

A normal B207 is 2 litre but add the Z22YH crank (if you want to use it with the LSJ ECU or most aftermarket ECU's) or the Z22SE crank if you want to use the standard ECU and it becomes a 2.2 litre again. Same cylinder bore on 2.0 litre and 2.2 litre. You can do Stage 3 on a 2.2 but it does need opening up and fitting new stronger rods and maybe/maybe not forged pistons. Mine has been Stage 3 for a few years. Be very sure you want to go down the Stage 3 road first. It's expensive and too noisy for lots of tracks and the Stage 2 is generally just as quick unless you cock about with gearboxes.

The engine cc does not effect the stage of tune Stage 2+3 M62 charger Stage 2 standard internals on the z22se or b207 2.0 or 2.2 Stage 3 standard b207 internals 2.0 or a forged b207 2.2 or z22se with cams Stage 4 uses a Harrop charger 3" exhaust And normally over 320 HP engines the b207 2.0 standard internals might be ok at stage 4 but is questionable or 2.2 forged internal engine Stage 5 350hp + With water injection or extra cooling Stages 3,4+5 cooling is the biggest factor

I like the sound of it.

Though water injection is done a lot over here on 330hp systems (80mm). Until decent manifold cooling is fixed, then we start thinking about silly pullys again :tt:

Anything classification above the standard "Z22SE Stage 2 SC" becomes very vague and depends on a lot of possible mods:

- 2.0 or 2.2 crank. Maybe a 2.4 item

- B207 internals or forged Z22SE items. Possible increase to 88mm bore or even Darton liners

- Head porting work + possible bigger valves

- Cams + valvesprings

- Forced induction mods. (M62/Harrop or Turbo)

- Cooling mods (extra chargecooler and/or water/meth injection)

- ....

(Just saying a "Stage 5" SC is utterly meaningless. Just list the mods and power it makes... )

I wonder what stage a rotrex is?  I'd be interested to see how people are getting on with those.

Don't know just putting two plus two together. They say it's 1.74L/rpm so that fits?
