in the log file, the engine barely gets up to full temp

have you got log file with with engine up to full temperature

The car behaves very differently while getting up to temp just wondered if you were getting the issue when your up to full tempreture

and do you think you could try and catch it on a log

would of thought it would be a good idea if you havent  at your state of tune

That's a log of the first drive with that particular tune.

I'm not sure how to capture it in the logs. The engine hesitates every time I pass through the 1500-2500rpm area on gentle throttle. Any section of the log that has a small throttle opening and those rpm ranges will be when the misfiring is happening.

I don't have a wideband installed because OBD tuner can't actually use a wideband signal for fuel calculations so I didn't really see the point other than as a visual readout in the cabin.

the wideband is usable with obdtuner for higher RPM fuel learning (via the power runs)

and in the logging files,Peter recommends it  using it for anything over 250 hp

this has nothing to do with your problem just a observation, do you think your issue could be some kind of cam overlap

the best way capture it is to simply get car up to temp

start logging and drive the car through the issue as much as possible

we could try and alter the ignition setting around that area to see if it gets better or worse

Does it actually base fuelling on the wideband signal or is it just a readout for the operator to view? I guess it could be a cam thing, it just seems odd that I had the same issue with my old engine too. Unless it is coincidence that I had it before for a different reason.

wideband is used for fueling WOT above 250hp can be used below 250hp but essential above it

also gives data within logging

would strongly recommend it,

if you used the same coil pack on both engines i would change that first if not we could try ignition settings around that area

are you running a saab engine ??

do you not disable the misfire detection on SC maps?

Yes Might be worth switching it on if it persists after changing coil pack

Coil pack is definitely going to be the next thing I investigate. Isn't WOT open loop I.e. No lambda feedback at all? Or do you mean during the fuel learning session it uses the wideband since it's locked in closed loop for that? It's a new GM bottom end and the original GM cylinder head. I'll look into enabling the misfire detection. Cheers chaps.

when mapping cars above 250 hp

the WOT is done in closed loop via the power measurement and process button.

I think its to reduce the chance of the car running lean for longer periods of time in open loop

Can you get a video up of the problem. Seems strange it happens on light throttle. Does it go away completely if you tramp it?

Log file with misfire check enabled.

Engine is mostly idling until I gently increase pressure on the accelerator then blip a few times towards the end.

This is a different base map (as modified by Peter) compared to the previous logs.

I'll see about trying to capture a video, but from experience you can usually only hear the clatter of the engine rather than the actual exhaust noise on smartphone audio.
