Awfully funny watching bbc news talk about it.
Yes as far as I'm aware he sold it in 2012 and has no stake in TG at all.
It will be a minor incident, if he's punched someone then the police would have to be involved from the beginning to investigate it surely?
Find the cancellation of the next 2 episodes odd as well, if Clarkson has been suspended why suspend the show if it's already filmed. Just exclude him from an episode or 2 until this is sorted and he either stays or goes. Would give a good indication of how TG would continue without him for the future.

I find it strange that the bbc have decided that clarkson is bigger than the program Why not just run it with somone new Or did clarkson have a clause built in to the contract when he sold his part of top gear back to the bbc?
Last I heard, Clarkson still owned a significant chunk of the TG production franchise. He isn't just an employee.
Clarkson and Wilman basically own TG - certainly the majority share of it - but also own the rights to the Stig and the resulting Stig and TG Merchandise plus the live shows and all the syndicated versions worldwide.
On the Suspension thing. Couldn't. Give. A. Fcuk.
Cannot believe this is the first item in the headlines. Disgraceful. All over a withered old alcoholic cokehead.

he can just move on to a renamed show for Sky.
That will happen if the BBC get rid of him.
Or perhaps he will start a talk show again, I want to see him put stuff in the mircowave and blow it up each week

I love the 100k plus muttnuts who have signed the petition. Why exactly?
to keep the tedious morons who "review cars" on youtube from getting on TV....
I'd rather have the One show presenters (I feel brain cells dying when I see that on the screen) doing TG than the lieks of Arris, PH TV etc.

Replace all with VBH & that talented driver lady who took a Transit around Nurgburgring? And maybe RH as the little whipping boy?Same old BBC propaganda... TG is there biggest export... either he`s got a book coming out or they are raising the profile to promote overseas sales.... blah blah blah... its a sad state of affairs when this is headline news... bring back william woollard i say!!! oh ye!
Guest presenter each week ... Tiff, VBH, potato, Jodie Kidd, Amanda Stratton, etc

Paddy Power. They have been quicker off the mark than a Bugatti Veyron in offering odds on Clarkson's possible replacement, so here we are:
Chris Evans 1/2 Steve Coogan 3/1 Dermot O'Leary 5/1 Johnny Vaughan 6/1 Ant & Dec 8/1 Clare Balding 50/1 Michael Gambon 50/1

Evans is setting up for a TFIF ressurection isnt he? (plus hes a ginger tosser, so cant possibly be let back on TV).
Mike Brewer would be comedy gold on TG

I don't mind Harris.
I think the BBC would have been better off to air the shows without him
Probably the other two wouldn't do it, after all there was a week (it was before last week's filming) between incident and suspension.
I bet the producer feels like a prick too, take about cutting your nose off to spite your face (and that applies to the bbc too)
