I didn't see any post from Jimmy saying the other people own part of the mould?

Look i can see where Chris is coming from i do sort of agree with him but it was always going to be more than 10 ,and i would rather JJJ make them then another person/ company proffit from them .

I really don't think there's a lot of profit in them for the asking price its over £500 for a hardtop.

alternative view is there's a lot of money in the asking price of a hardtop... have a look at the price of fibreglass materials.

 

IMO, the reason they're £750 not £1500 is there isn't a fitting kit. Fix that and you can charge a lot more.

Your missing the main factor the price of labor and overheads fiberglass don't mould it's self when you buy it.

I've worked with enough fibreglass to know this, and frankly I wouldn't be producing coupe parts for £750. It's a pretty good price. I'm just saying that it's not the purchase cost, but the work required to identify a mounting approach.

Iv got a pair of s2 exige engine cover hinges to try.

 

Have the same (along with S1 Exige hinge) and it needs more than just the inges bolting on...

Do you want to see how my Elise Motorsport hinges the rear bootlid? Could actually work really well as to be honest it's the same design (as the above scoop is the same as the motorsport roof)

Thank you for the offer I know the s2 exige inside out I owned one a few years back. It looks like iv got to make a frame to bolt the hinges to I'll get a better idea when I receive the panels

Problem with that idea is when the bootlid goes up it will hit the roof scoop
