The ark changes as they go up its worth a try looks a pain to remove the engine Cove and put it to one side just to work on your engine.

Struts on the 220 but not on the 240 exige have a look at a s2 engine bay you can see how the hinges lift it back and up

Oh my oh my Chris couldn't help himself.... To make a correction , the original 'ten go in on the moulds' plan was to buy the original moulds from Thorney back in the day and that never happened. End of.

I then invested my own money to have new coupe moulds made that I own 100%.  I also had to devote time and insane mileage driving across the UK collecting panels and dropping them in to bodyshops and general messing about to get them sorted.  South Wales to Luton to Dover etc.

I went ahead with a group buy with the run limited to ten units one of which I was having myself but never fitted it. Since then people have asked me for kits here and there and I've sold them here and there; big deal! What am I supposed to store these moulds for the rest of my life just in case chris damages one and needs a replacement..? Wake up  Lee, I'm sorry you're bothered but your tip was the one I got the moulds back out for lol.  I can see how some people might resent that more than the original 10 were made but it's really not that big a deal.

Not wishing to hijack the thread or throw any fuel on the fire... I bought dewis motorsports coupe kit (one of the 10 I think) and plan on fitting it as soon as I can, question is, is it best to plagiarise someone's efforts in regards to the hinges or just wing it? Is there a best way to fit it? Ta

Currently, I think the only people who have 'hinged' their kits are Lee and Chris. Lee backwards towards the rear of the car, and Chris from under the roll bar. I don't think either have an off-the-shelf kit they could offer, but equally I don't expect either would be worried if you 'cribbed' their deisgn to make your own.

I'm using a bodyshop to hinge it from under the roll bar, a bit like an exige, but we haven't come up with a final design yet. May not work, but for me - in my quest for an OEM-ish feel - it is worth the risk. If it works, I think my bodyshop will potentially offer an off-the-shelf kit.

I made a roll bar cover with bosses in for exige hinges.  I'm not sure if it fits with the coupe panels but it might help someone out.  I'm happy for people to borrow the moulds / jigs or I can get my local glass shop to bash them out.

I don't know, I've never had my hands on a coupe. The outer is standard roll bar cover size if that helps. I made this for my own coupe version.
