Yeah, I've got a new HJS cat.
The secondary has always seemed to do weird things before and after replacing it.

give this one a go
Thanks, I'll load it up tonight.
Out of interest, what elements are you adjusting? (don't have OBD tuner on this PC so can't look at it properly until this evening).

I gave the second map a go. It doesn't seem to be any better, possibly a bit worse. Hard to say really. The stuttering is definitely still there. I took a couple of logs back to back on the same road with the two maps you gave me I can upload these if they'll be useful. Were you able to spot the stuttering in the previous logs at all?

Just a random unrelated thought, why does OBD tuner display some of the ignition timings as negative? It also records the units as 'gr'. I assumed this was degrees before TDC, but the 'gr' has me confused as well as the negative units at times.

i did see a blip in the rpms which i assumed was what your taking about
do you have your fuel learn to hand did you get plenty of data in the area that you are having the problem.
it is possible to have the fuel learn eml light on whilst you are decreasing rpm which might help you, if you didnt capture this data

I don't have a recent one.
I can do a new one this evening.
What I usually do is just sweep it up and down past the problem rpm range and then just hold it there for a while too until the EML doesn't come on in that area any more. Didn't do anything to alleviate the problem. Wideband shows good AFRs when the car is misbehaving too.

From your first post "Coil pack - it's had two different coil packs"
Can you describe which 2 you used, and where they came from.
(to rule out the knows issue with the china knockoff versions of these that can cause problems)

That was for under heavy load though, wasn't it?
We went off what the wideband was reading and inputted values into OBD tuner until the wideband read what we were after so 11.4 in the table could well have corresponded to 11.8 on the wideband.
The stuttering all happens on quite low MAP values where target afr is 14.7. As soon as you get into the load parts of the table where you want richer AFRs the stuttering goes away.
