There's something about that Harris bloke that I can't stand.

😄😄 There's everything about that Harris bloke that I can't stand! More so than ginger top!

I like Chris Harris but I'm not sure he has the charisma to do well in the spotlight, ultimately the general public won't know who he is. Time will tell but I'm looking forward to it. The few times I've seen Sabine Schmitz on tele, I thought she came across well. Coulthards just boring but can drive.

So sexy, her english with that german accent.

It's a bit like Yvette from allo allo. (ok, that was French, but you get my point)

Best of a bad bunch... But then Hammond, May & Clarkson wouldnt have been the automatic options before they began. Hammond is a bland, talentless dufus, May just a bumbling brain on legs and Clarkson... He was a knobhead, but rather funny with it.

I listen to chris in the morning, his show is good, he is a big car fan and recently sold off a load of cars and gave the money to charity, but I still dont like him on television, he gets over excited and starts saying anything that he might think is funny, rather than funny, Chris harris, dont know, seen him before but he does have that 100 yard stare thing, so dont think hes going to work out, Coultard, think he will be great, he does have a sense of humour, its dry, so good the german girl, shes been on a number of times, but it is getting very fifth gear with this set up, I did like the old top gear, it was getting to the stage where they disrespected everyones property like the hover van, Im actually surprised by the new cast, given the bbc' s we are the world/we are the people thing, I thought we would just get a token british guy then the rest of the cast from round the world

If it isn't funny and entertaining it'll go the way of 5th gear on the history channel. We shall see.

The exact same format will just not happen. The "funny" presenters are gone, the old producer Andy Wilman is gone, and the current producer Lisa Clark and scriptwriter Tom Ford will not be returning.

So it's basically a clean slate.

And that means it will probably be a 5th gear knock off with hopefully a bigger budget to get some decent shooting on nice cars.

More average cars will probably sneak in there though.

Which is exactly what needed to happen for a good while. They let the Christmas specials takeover the whole show. It needed a bit of grounding imho

I like Chris Harris. Don't know how he'd do with all the funny stuff, and his car reviews are excellent for a pistonheads audience, but a bit dry for the broader public on BBC. I think he has enough depth to adapt and do well though.

Sabine might be a problem for her constant yearning for me. Not everyone wants to see the lust in her eyes for me.

(I may have got that the wrong way round).

I'm not a fan of Chris Evans.

The biggest problem they have is it's not going to be Clarkson, May and Hammond.

Clarkson, May and Hammond had their time... that's over... power got to their heads and one cocked up big time. I'm looking forward to the new show with the new three.. each of them will bring something special to the show. The old top gear shows started to become far too staged and was beyond stupid. Good luck to them

Had no idea who Harris was till I watched the above. I like him. Can we not just have him, tiff and merinho for top gear?..

^Yeah that! Totally agree with Ali - that video was brilliant ... mind you, could really go wrong with the cars on show!

I've watched a few Harris videos in the past and thought he was pretty decent. I'd like one of these if Santa is still listening: https://youtu.be/tmZMwk14r4c

With David Coulthard as occasional 4th host apparantly.

The bbc have just announced Matt LeBlanc is to be one of the presenters, with 'Additional Top Gear cast members will be confirmed shortly'. Maybe Sabine and Chris will be the additional cast members?

First programme is out in May so I'd have thought they'd know by now?
