Take out the main straight from the GT circuit and the VXR/GT3 would be pretty level but tipped in favour of the VXR. If its the main GT circuit then that 1km long straight would kill a VXR I'm afraid. Having said that I've only ever driven against modded ones (over 400bhp) so no idea about stock.

As stated in the For Sale & Wanted forum, I have tentatively sold my car, and on that basis have taken the plunge and booked my place on 30th October :D I plan on picking my VXT up during next week at some point - it's completely standard so if anyone has any suggestions in terms of things I ought to think about doing to it in the short space of time before the 30th I would very much appreciate it Thanks and looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone chinky chinky

1. Gearbox breather (might apply to NA only)
2. Geometry set-up
3. Pagid RS14 pads
4. VXR wheels with Yokos (or OZ when they materialise)
5. Oehlins R+T suspension
6. Full Miltek and remap
7. Harnesses and 340R seats

Should keep you going for now!

...you should do 1, 2 and 3 asap thumbsup

does apply to both B)

2. Geometry set-up

this is a must do for all VX's (and elises) - in the factory the engineer only gets 10 mins (acording to Scuffers on SELOC) to set the car up.... Thats 2 1/2 mins per corner!!! :beat:

Will cost about 140 squid and can make a whole heap of difference not only on the track, but also safety road thumbsup

That's the Scared Stiff price - iirc Planned Motorsport will do it for £99 and you get to test it on the Top Gear circuit with Dido's White Flag on the stereo :P

Foxy it's "plans motorsport" non planned motorsport. The Turbs, racing brake fluid is a good idea.

I think the travel inn has rooms. The cheaper Travel lodge is usually full up...

Lets hope I can get away from the grindstone :(
