Modified compressor for more top-end flow..? 350bhp should be easy now.. ;)

yep :) the stock compressor can make good midrange boost (2.0-2.1bar), but it cant sustain that boost at higher flowrates and noses over pretty badly. so rather than tonnes of boos at 2000rpm, opted for a compressor that flows more up the top. should sustain 2.0bar right to redline now. what the midrange performance looks like well have to see. it is a very small Turbo so itll hopefull still perform well in the low and midranges, just have a bit more puff up top. 350?... the oem Turbo does 350 ;)

Nice. I thought the standard turbo has to scream its tits off to make 350bhp, so this should be a good upgrade..

Given the rest of the tech of this engine, I doubt you'll notice much discernible difference once the calibration is sorted.

yeah 360-380 and its game over really. i think dominik was saying he sees 2.1 bar around 3500, but only 1.5-1.6bar by 6000. that's enough to get a reliable 360, but its wayyyyy off the efficiency map of the compressor

been a solid 2 weeks since i last stuck my head in the shed. had a crack today at trying to sort the roof scoop/duct/airbox thingo.

basically this will house the big mofo K+N. it's separate to the engine cover panel, and will be removable with 4 camloc's from the clam assembly allowing quick access to the engine. early photos of it just busted off the plug, but you get the idea :)

How do you think they would cope with a bit of bouncing over curbs on track if they were upside down? I'm thinking it might be a good alternative to the dzuz fastners on the race car.

I think they'd be perfectly fine. The shank is retained by 3 small indent balls in the receiver, and without a solid push on the release button the balls are locked in position, and the shank isn't going anywhere. Even upside down shaken to bits, it's not going to move till the indent balls are disengaged. It's a very solid feeling mechanism with a very positive click once engaged. The tolerances are good.

I chose camlocs over dzus clips for most of my stuff. But this panel I want to be able to get off without tools, and these things ended up being perfect

Be careful where to use them.

I've fastened my front bonnet with 3 of them (exactly the same), and it ended with a bonnet flying at 30meters high in a straight line at 180kmh !

That was fun because nobody have been injured but in the other case...

The loads on the front bonnet are huge at high speed (in traction on the fastener), on parts with low loads (or compression load), I think it is OK. I will fasten my rear bonnet with them.
