Ok, I suspect it's time I replaced most of the bushes on all the wishbones.

Can anyone recommend someone, as I'm not sure I have the patience, any prices (inc VAT) you know of would be nice too.

I am keen on keeping a forgiving "road" ride, so no need for super firm bushes, just OEM or similar.

Its a pretty easy job Nev, especially to a man of your caliber. You just need some spanners a bench vice and a drill.

£10000000 (inc VAT, even though I'm not registered... well for VAT anyway)

I need to do mine, but seriously considering asking Matt Bentley to fit the Nitrons bushes. Let me know when and I will pop over.

Hmm, maybe I should man up and do it myself whilst the car will be off the road when I have to send my rear Nitrons off for a fix to correct bump stop length.

My Nitrons have to go in for a service, let me know their leadtimes and what they quote you. I have a set of spare rear nitrons 40's you could borrow.

I was so about to post my offer of assistance!

Good luck with it, I found that powerflex bushes didn't change the ride much personally.

I fitted Ertacetal Bushes. Didn't notice any difference in harshness (The vx is harsh anyway) but the response was pin sharp. Felt great.

Ta for the info on powerflex.

Quite a lot of options out there for sure. I like bashing my way down open but twisty b-roads, so am looking for OEM like compliancy (maybe a bit stronger/tighter) and long service life.

Thanks also, suprising to hear that they both these and Powerflex give a similar ride. Hoffmans however said the Powerflex ones require a lot of force to get them to move and had a worrying video of them requiring 120 N just to rotate a wishbone (that force would presumably be doubled for a pair of wishbones).

Very kind of you Steve, I might take you up on that as i drive the car almost every day and it will be criminal to miss any sunny weekend blasts ;o)

When are you passing Bristol next? Feel free to drop by whenever you like.

I wouldn't take that as gospel, on that specific instance they were a problem but it is not the case for all. Without the hub attached mine would rotate quite easily with only a small lift with one finger. I guess the manufacturing tolerances aren't particularly accurate. I must say though, I noticed a significant increase in ride harshness but that was on super soft Sachs shocks.
