Go OEM as all others need annual maintenance.

This.... I've got this kit. (first option) http://www.seriously...ion-refresh-kit grtz

Or not this....as per the folk above who've never had a problem with non oem bushes.     sigh...

Not saying that non oem bushes give problems.. Only saying that oem style bushes do'nt need maintenance.. grtz

Just use proper grease the first time. I never had any issue with mine. I used marine grade grease.

I have superpro in mine and they're great on the road. No movement issues but they need regreasing. Oem are a little more effort to fit correctly but are maintainance free. If I were to do it again I'd still go for non oem. I might consider attempting to add some sort of greasing port. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

this is not job you'll want to do twice

don't go superpro they're sh*t from personal experience.

car is for the road, go OEM

even if you use it a bit fore track, go oem

I'm suprised Techie hasn't been along yet to tell you the same :D

Thanks for all the input so far, useful to see varying opinions.

Tonight  I replaced a rear end ball joint, which is only 3.5 years old and discovered it was shockingly knackered already. I am wondering if I should actually buy some beefy non OEM bushes as I think the car takes more of a hammering that I realised. It is heavier than most VX'es at the rear, more grip than most and more torque than most, so maybe I need to forego suppleness for strength & longevity. Tricky decission.

I need to do mine, but seriously considering asking Matt Bentley to fit the Nitrons bushes. Let me know when and I will pop over.

LOL, Nitron offered me a 20% discount on their bushes last time as a sweetner for all the hassle I went though, maybe this time they'll double it to 40% ?!

Iv got Superpro on mine, and found that yes, effort was required to move the wishbones, but given the forces involved, i didnt see it as an issue. I took out all the bushes and sleeves, cleaned them up and greased them with marine stuff. Having not driven a car on standard bushes, its hard to compare, things like spring rates, dampers and other factors such as weight would have an affect also. Im happy with what iv got now, and didnt see a reason to swap them out. Pulling them out every year or so is not a huge factor if you do it yourself, just a little time consuming. Id say if you had a standard car, go OEM, but if you have a SC or Stg2 Turbo or something, id go uprated of some sort.

I used http://www.autobush.com, they've been there 2 years and are fine, though I have to admit the car moves embarrassingly little so I guess they would be.

Don't you find them pretty harsh on the road though? They must have very little play in them I would imagine?

The other thing I am wondering about is how long different types of bush will last... hard to get unbiased and meaningful info on that I expect.

When you stick superpro bushes in you need to check the tube part for roundness. Where it's welded you will likely find its bulged in. You need to ream this off. If you don't it adds pressure to the bush which has no give consequently adding pressure to the bush sleeve boundary making it tight. This is why people have problems imo. Can't beat OEM for bushes and balljoints, they're fit and forget. All the other solutions have a caveat with them....

Apparently Lotus used the oem bushes on there GT3 cars but that might just be Lotus being Lotus.
