Not a lot done today as I've been busy and only had a few hours this afternoon. I've been fighting for every millimetre. I had to trim the hockey stick aluminium trims down as they were too big to fit in between my seats. Plenty of time wasted thinking of the best way to make a sturdy, easy to dismantle and nice looking console from the huge Evoque console.

I also adjusted my seat positions and moved my handbrake centrally.

Here’s another speedo Binnacle. It looks a little Darth Vader at present, but far more unusual and perhaps more suitable.

I was going to use the hexagonal mesh over the center console CF top and Lacquer it on to a satin Or Matt finish. Just wondering how it would look around the speedo dials too?

Obviously, it’s just sat on top of the Audi binnacle at the moment. Should I attempt swapping the binnacle?

It’s been a few days since I’ve done anything on the car. Work is back in full swing and hours are now difficult to find for tinkering.

But, I had a bumper delivered which had some wheel vents, which I thought would go well on the car.

It took just an hour and a half to do the first vent. Most of that time was spent working out how to do it with minimal making good work.

I will do the other side and heat weld them into place later this week.

I have also decided to fit the Audi TT rear lights, which I bought many months ago, just because it will be an easy fit.

I did order a pair of Aston Martin DBS clear
Lights on eBay, but the company was messing me around so much, that I eventually cancelled the order, Shame! I just lost interest.

Anyway, the back with the TT rear lights will I hope, look fine with some additional changes to the back end.

I am considering doing a bespoke coupe lid as I have had a couple of interesting ideas that will hopefully be straightforward to do.

I am hoping to have the car looking in one colour and bodywork completed fully this month. Well, that’s the plan at the moment.

It will then be shipped to have the various moulds made by others.

I’ve had little time today. Just managed to finish the other rear wheel vent, fit the Audi lights and mock up a new vented area between the lights.

I’m not loving it, but my patience is now running thin and I have a lot to do in a short time as work is now back to normal for me.

If I do use this vented design in between the lights, then it will probably have mesh and possibly be painted black

Who wants new door cards?

They are not finished, just had not enough time this afternoon.

They fit perfectly, like OEM door cards along every edge. It’s. Also it fits the door extremely well and when closed, has perfectly even gaps along every edge and window. I’m well chuffed!

The door will open from the new handle release.

I could also have fitted the speaker cover, which would have looked lovely, but obviously I don’t need it.

The big bonus is that the door cards are approx 20% lighter than the factory door cards with painted central panel, and other panels.
