that means the brown relay is not switching on, you can make this relay energise by connecting the small green/pink stripe wire (pin 12, X2, loom of doom) to 0v

The power for the fuel pump goes though the brown and grey boot relays - K16 and K18

If this works then your issue is either the loom of doom connection (pin 12, x2) or the ecu connections or the ecu or the immobiliser making the ecu not power up the relays

When you say connecting to 0v, do you mean grounding the wire?

I took the blue connector apart. Do you connect the internal pin to ground?

0v = chassis, ground, battery negative :)

much easier to add the 0v at the relay, remember that the +12v might only last a few seconds after the ignition is switched ON, so get another person to switch the ignition whilst you measure the voltage

Right, finally got round to this as i have a day off.

I didnt hold out much hope as i jammed a bit of wire into the pink/green striped wire connector and wrapped the other end around a bolt on the engine... But as I did... I heard clicks! beautiful click!

I turned on the ignition and heard my fuel pump whine! Wohoo! amazing. It even started after getting the fuel pressure high enough!

Was really great to hear it after nearly a year.

So i guess the next step is to find the culprit. Where is the best place to start with this?

I have just been back out to the garage. I have done a continuity test for the green/pink wire between the relay and the female end of the blue plug. I get continuity here. So it looks the the other side of the plug the wire becomes white with a black stripe. Does this sound right?

If so, where does this wire come from? Im assuming one of the ecu plugs. if so, which one?

Well I think I have figured out my issue!

I got my ECU plug off and was faced with this

I guess this means my ECU is knackered? and the connector as well?
