But he is only trying to force Parliament because it has stubbornly refused to execute the will of the people. So, truly, who's the baddy here then?
You mean the will of the 27% of the people in the country who voted leave? There's democracy at work!

Don’t leave it there, at least explain your version of democracy!

I’m awaiting the Batman’s policies....

The debates are pointless at the best of times and get worse and worse for each additional person in them, to the point where you can't answer any question with anything longer than a Yes or No.
I'd rather a series of programs, each of them getting a 30 minute grilling from Andrew Neil followed by the 30 minutes of audience questions. Actually drop the audience altogether and 60 minutes of Brillo grilling for each party leader. The "representative members of the public" always seem to be packed out with people who turn out to be party activists from the opposition parties anyway.
Except, of course, for the SNP and Plaid who should only get airtime reflecting the percentage of the UK electorate who can vote for them. That way we'd only have to endure 8% and 5% of an hour respectively. Brexit Party would only have half an hour, as they've stood down in half the seats. On the downside it does mean an hour of kippers but we could probably schedule their hour for 3am or something.

I know from times of old and another forum one of our comrades on here enjoys the tv debates, personally i just think they are pure theatre.

"I agree with Nick"
They can be transformative though. During that campaign it got the Libdems into coalition with Cameron.
No wonder they aren't invited this time!

I wouldnt agree so much with that, scrapping uni fee's did it for the lib dems, look what happened when they horse traded that so they could have their av vote, fell off the map, same will happen this time round, whatever they gain with the remainer vote, soon as Brexit is done, they will disappear again.

I listened to the first 5 or 6 minutes whilst out walking the dog and had to switch off as I'd already had enough of Boris trying to answer anything and everything with some point about his ready to cook Brexit deal.

No but I'm watching Nigel on the Beeb now batting off personal attacks by an audience full of screeching emotional thinkers.

Did anyone watch it? Either of them perform well?

I think calling it a 'debate' is actually slanderous, more like reading out statements from a piece of paper prepared well in advance would be more akin to what it was.
Even that is a loose term as the statements were littered with factual errors (as we have come to expect).
