Keith, why does the weight of the NA show as 850kg, when the corresponding weight for the VXT is shown as 1005kg (presumably including for a 80kg driver)? I know the turbo lump is heavy, but not by an extra 150kg

Yes, I'd noticed that anomaly too – not that I'm complaining!

So, you've got it too then, Gary? Get some laps of the 'Ring in if you're going when you do Hock. Very challenging but insanely unsafe to drive fast is my verdict...

Actually, I'm doing the same thing on another forum, for my old car. As it was an FF hatchback, you really need to keep the momentum up through the corners - and I think the lines I've learnt to do using that are also helping me with the VX.

Still can't touch Speedy's NA time though...

Exactly – certainly can't apply (non-existent) brute power

Still can't touch Speedy's NA time though...

Didn't feel up to beating my time yesterday, but watched the replay of it that I'd saved: so many "grassy moments" through running wide as well as overcautious moments not using all the available width of the track – looks pretty mediocre actually.

My personal goal was to crack 8'30 but, having watched my replay, I reckon that someone with real talent should be able to get a standard N/A under 8'20 – don't think I've got the skill and consistency to hang it all together for a perfect lap myself though... but if someone beats my time, I'll be motivated to try!

That was a few days ago on my first lap with a few mistakes, haven't been able to match it since. I'm sure I could get to 7 flat with a good bit of practice, but I've been too busy with the 24hr. 'Ring race.

I won't get to try again since I'm away for the weekend, so don't go break my record...

No sleep, going to be fun driving 10 hours to Pas now . Must be worth it to get the kudos of first sub 7 min. reckon 6.50 is possible, currently car is 334BHP might be able to squeeze a bit more out.
