Video of my fastest na time of 8,10.

B) B) B) B) B) B) thumbsup

Soooooo inch perfect!

Fascinating to analyse.

You are slower than me on the first three sections and by the fourth we're about equal as you've gained on me. You then start to slowly leave me behind, so that you are several seconds ahead as you go under the bridge on the main straight (Döttinger Höhe). I obviously can't keep it together so well... but then I knew that.

I'm sure I will never make my way round for over 8 minutes without a mistake – that would be too big a fluke!

Anyone else think they can beat this "Meisterleistung" by Toeride? If not, I vote that we declare him our resident virtual 'Ring King Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy

Do you drive real competition events, Toeride? If not, I think you should be considering it.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you do on Tsukuba. I tried out the tubbies today – and as can be seen, I have trouble with the lardy, wallowy VXT – not even able to match the N/A on this twisty circuit, let alone beat it.

My tuned VX was on 344bhp (it should be 349, but needs a "service"). I think dudewheresmycar has more bhp, but certainly not that much more to explain this huge gap. Don't think I've got the self-discpline needed to drive monster power cars in a smooth and controlled fashion

Come on the rest of you, :poke: show us what you can do!

I'm sure it can be beaten, don't give up thumbsup

I have done a lot of laps on the Ring in real life, but only once with my Speedster right after I got it. I had plans a few years back to get an international racing license and get a car and a team specifically for the Nurburgring. The goal was to do the 24 hrs race and use the VLN-series to practice.

Unfortunately I broke my neck (racing gocarts :beat: ), and that put a stop to all my dreams. The damage is permanent so I will not be able to race competitively in the future either :(

But hey, I can still enjoy the touristdays and enjoy my car. Could have been much worse thumbsup

As for Tsukuba, I will rig up my ps2 system and give it a go.

Got a copy of the game on saturday. Managed to put in a sub 9 minute lap of the ring in a lovely modified mandarin turbo, complete with a 360 spin somewhere along the way. going to have a go at Tuksuba as that looks like it will be easier to master than a 13 mile nighmare! @ toeride, sorry to hear about your injury. Glad it wasn't any worse mate!

FYI Speedy Tuned NA with a Turbo I do this because the NA is about 100kgs lighter that the VXT and tuned to the max only produces about 10BHP less so the NA has a better power to weight ratio

Toreide, that video is most impressive Imnotworthy Imnotworthy
Took me about 2 hours and countless restarts to do an 8'17!
Do you use the control pad or have you got a wheel?

Has anyone tried the latest EVO magazine time? It is the 7th License Test, the advanced one. You are in the yellow RUF Porsche. Infuriating stuff! -Rob

>this< should look familiar to GT4 players.

Since my change in cars in the real world, I am naturally more interested in a virtual Exige. Have managed to get a 111R to fairly similar power to my 265bhp Exige and have completed Tsukuba in the same time as in a VXT with nearly 100bhp more...

Was also pretty quick on the 'Ring. Looking forward to tracking the real thing but still not intending to risk the Green Hell.

111R with around 260bhp: 7'41.601 and that's still messy and "grassy" without really having settlied back in to it.

I notice this has been demoted from being a "sticky" topic. So, anyone else who wants to show what they can achieve will have to get in quick before it sinks into the quagmire depths of the server... As lusovx makes the point, you reach a stage where the chance of improvement is so slight that it isn't worth bothering with. I'm done with the VX and the VXT, but will "fire up" that 111R in preparation for Spring again soon... Half my waiting time is over now :groupjump: Wonder if they'll have an Exige 240R in the next GT for PS3?... Hope so!

Better bookmark this! The best I can achieve is in my Audi R8, around 5.50, and as speedy says it's a "grassy" lap but I don't enjoy the ride at all. It's an absolute bitch to drive and if you so much as touch a kerb there it goes, instantaneously into the stratosphere. Mind you it's got 1000 + BHP and is hitting 400 kph + on more than one straight. People on the EVO competition were hovering around the 4 min mark but they must have never seen the sea (or other people...)
