Looks quite useful, may give it a go. My washer jets are absolutely rubbish, so this looks like a good idea.

Yeah, think I might trundle down to a Citroen dealership tomorrow. Ideally I would want a VW stlye washer yet as they work really well, but I doubt that's possible on the VX.

My wiper is different to those ones I just realised it has a big plastic "blob" on the arm.

It's of the older style. I think you can get the new arm style from eliseparts?

>Elise Parts - Wiper and arm< for under £30.

Let me know if it fits when it arrives. I think it may well do but I can't be sure.

From seloc: You need to order the Citroen BX washer. It's a strange looking thing but sits quite flush with the wiper arm. It's about £9. You will notice that just behind the standard washer jets (this is for a S2, can't remember what my S1 looked like) there is a plastic cover to prevent leaves etc getting in. You can drill a hole through this to feed the standard washer tube through - one end to the pump and the other obviously to the new washer jet. I did not want to do this as I wanted to feed the tube over the top of the plastic cover. This means the tube is now that 1"-2" too short to reach the new washer. I went to B&Q and bought a short length of 3mm tubing. I think the standard tubing is about 4mm as I was able to feed about 20mm of the B&Q tubing into the standard one. It's a very tight squeeze. This then gave me the length I needed to reach the new washer. Took me about 15 mins to do the whole process.

I ordered the part from Citroen today, £10.50 and should be here by the end of the week. I almost felt the need to explain that I didn't really drive a Citroen BX :P

Popped into a local breakers today to have a look for somthing to fit to the arm of the wiper, I came across a couple of suitable washer jets fitted to the arm of a Jag XK8 (I think, it looked way past its best!). Anyhow, fitted one and works a treat! I have a spare if anyone would like one. There are also a number of vans which seem to have this type of washer fitted and the jets just clip on - peice of p*ss to fit and a cheap / free supply of the correct UV resistant pipes. Cost me 50p and dirty shoes!
