Does anyone have the part number for the 405 spray bar?

Although the Citroen part is good, the top loopy bit seems very tricky to set up so that the water doesn't just hit the wiper arm and go no-where.

Also, there's a window washer kit (using the Citreon part) available from >elise-shop.com<. But it's still cheaper to get the pipe from B&Q and get the spray bar from the French manufacturer of your choice.

Cheers,

Ben

Peugeot part number 643861 (Bin A6C5), "SPRAYING RAMP*P4WT" £5.46 +VAT

this info was for 2004 though!

How handy.

Having just filled up my water bottle, for the first time since i cant remember, I thought I'd resurrect this thread for the benifit of all the new people on the site. I still maintain this is the best mod i've done and will pay for it's self in washer fluid in a couple of weeks at this time of year with all the grit on the roads.

This and changing the relay for less wipes after a spray (as well as variable intermittent)

I'm still using the Citroën spray bar and it's fine.

Having just filled up my water bottle

Reminds me of the fact that I have never needed to refill my washerbottle yet :D

Have had the car since 2004 so I guess our roads are pretty clean :P

I don't have this mod btw :drink:

Could be worth looking at the Honda CRV washer as it's spray jet has a wide Arc of about 60 degree. maybe able to be moded to fit the car

Nick, I think it's just the design of the car that would make another jet type solution like that tricky. The angle is so acute and the washer jets are mounted on little stalks, nothing like I've seen on any other car. Very happy with mine still :)

Just fitted my spray bar..

What a massive difference! 7 little holes in the bar actually fire on to the windscreen with amazing force! thumbsup

Excellent mod.. like what was said above.. doing this mod with the wiper relay has to be one of the most effective mods thumbsup

The only problem i had was the washer bottle! It had old liquid in it and kept getting blocked so had to thoroughly rince the bottleout and remove the rubber bung that the motor sits in as all the gunk was round that..

As for the pipes.. i used everything that was supplied with the arm except one clip, i went to b&q and got the 3mm & 5mm pipe and also some hose couplers (Eliza Tinsley pack with a selection of different angles etc) pushed one end into the black pipe on the spray bar then the other end into the 3mm clear pipe (soaked in hot water first) then put 3mm pipe inside the 5mm pipe, then the 5mm pipe straight onto the motor! Job done and works spot on..

Hopefully on this years Euro road trip i will be able to remove flys with ease! thumbsup

To anyone who hasnt doen this...DO IT!!

Cheers

Nick

After using about half a bottle of washer fluid clearing the winscreen my new VX, I went home and swaped this set up off my NA. Once again I can't belive how much better it is than std so I though I'd give the thread a bump

My std nozzles are crap. I'm guessing though, as I have a Bosch Aero blade from a Passat instead of the normal wiper arm, this probably won't fit? Maybe I'll try and fab something up DIY stylee
