I've just renewed with AON too. Ask for the Roadster policy team. Both my cars are insured on one policy, business use on both, not garged, mods, track cover, protected ncb on both - £1000 all in. And as wavey says, great to deal with. This is my third year with them.

Just phoned AON on the number Waverunner gave above, spoke to Jake.

First of all he refused to cover me over 5000 miles per year, suggested the Roadster policy and then wouldn't give me Track Day cover without having done them previously :beat: . How the hell am I meant to get experience if you won't insure me in the first place???

Appreciate that I can just risk it, but that's not really the point is it?

Have since spoken to Hayley, and she would accept one receipt from the National meet last year. The policy is with Royal Sun Alliance, just a bit pricey at £967 per year :o

Excellent Foxy, just got a quote from them for £1,185 including unlimited trackday cover, with a £550 excess That's pretty damn good seeing as my renewal with Elephant is about £1,000 once the £110(!!!) for my points are added and my bonus is protected.

This post may have just made me make my mind up to keep my little plastic car!! I was with Footman James and paid £478 per year, with a cost of £70 per track day with £2500 exces!! I'm now with HID £525 (or £560 inc roadside assist) unlimited trackdays with only £500 exces!!!!! I'm 29, 4 years NCB, no points and parked on a driveway most of the time. No worries now about breaking my pride and joy. (I'll still try not to!) :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump: :groupjump:

Ive been using Heritage for their classic car policy (I know it dont apply to you guys yet...trouble is, what actualy defines a 'classic'?) since 2003 on the Cossie...last insured for just under 600gbp...inc mods, totaly clean licence with one accident 2yrs ago when a artic truck tried to hump the arse off our little 106 run around on a dual carrige way  106 needed more than counciling after that invasion  Free track day cover as long as I phone in advance to inform them the details, also free european break down cover which so far has proved very succesfull in recovering us from France (bloody chocolate Ford differentials :poke: ) on two occasions. Some of the quotes you guys are getting for track day cover is obsene...track days are safer than public highways...why dont insurance companies see that??

Update 2008

Heritage are very expensive this year, also if you have a bump on track your normal road excess is added to the track excess of £2k, so £2k plus your road excess, say £2,500 if you have a £500 standard excess

Only cover LOT trackdays or days organised by your own club, so Book a Track, MSV, and other TD operator's are additional premiums, or not covered at all.

Competition Car Insurance winning so far thumbsup

Forget AON :beat: :- Took over half an hour to get through to the right department/office, even when using the telephone numbers quoted above, and their current telephone numbers quoted on their web site. Sorry, but if things aren't running right at the point of sale, god help you if you need too claim. thumbsdown Also they wouldn't cover me, as my family/wife's car is registered in her name, not mine, so according to AON & Royal Sun Alliance i only have the one Car (so the Vx is not classed as my second limited mileage car ), so will not insure me on a classic/limited mileage policy  CCI got my business, helpful, professional, and best price (£700 Inc 4 track-days, still think its expensive, but considerably cheaper than the rest) Good Night God Bless :D J

Nice work, will be giving them a call this month. I know it's a long shot but what's their policy on the ring and European tracks.
