Adrian
I am afriad i cannot advise a fitting centre in your area. I would suggest you get it fitted by your local vauxhall dealer as i belive the whole rear end of the car has to come off :-(
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards

That place looks really good! They have done an MR2 and TVR so should be OK to work on the VX.
But dont choose this tailpipe:-

That was the one I was going for......!!
Yes, they look as if they know what they are talking about. Want to try and avoid "chavtastic exhausts" and their chavtastic operatives IYKWIM. Difficult, hence my email to Piper. I rang two local Piper stockists - one asked me if my car was an import as he could not find it on his computer and the other said that he thinks he has a Piper brochure somewhere but "the bloke who does 'em is on holiday for 2 weeks".
God help us

.... Because I asked for a high pitched exhaust tone the sound has developed that way. Upto 4000rpm its quite deep - then after it produces a high pitched screaming noise all they way upto the limiter.... not unlike the CTR

It probably needs alot more running in .... but the exhaust note is so different to before.

Most importantly the VX is so much more torquey and less breathless upto the limiter.... On normal conditions before the exhaust I wouldn't take it to the limiter too often [some of you who have seen me on a run will probably say bull sh1t!!] as it felt like I was forcing it there. Now its saying f%*%^ng limit me you biatch!!!!!

I even noticed that 'on my private stretch' normally when Im blatting it through the gears I can hit 100/102 at a given point - now its more like 112/115.
I let the missus have the car on Friday .... the first thing she said when home was ... god the VX is faster!
I never expect any power/torque differences when I buy a cat back for my cars past and present [take things with a pinch of salt] but I can defo say that this system has changed my VX. The std SS VX exhaust must be very restrictive.
Im now saving my pennies for a 100/200 cell cat and a Stage 2+ Remap, and a RR.... dont know what tuner to use though

BTW... for those interested in the TMS RR results we had @ the open day ---- I was reading on the S2000 forum, and there were a few who had theirs RR'd on the same make RR as TMS....
... They also had disappointing results:-
STD S2k :- 225 at the fly [should be 240]
Spooned S2k:- extra 6bhp than std.
This VX lark is bloody addictive....

BTW my exhaust is:-

Had a reply back from Longlife (see previous post)
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for your enquiry.
A custom build stainless exhaust system for your Vauxhall VX220 would usually run from the existing catalytic converter section through to the rear of the car. Included in the base system price would be a standard style 2.5" rolled lip style tailpipe. You can of course choose an alternative or upgrade from our extensive range of about 55 tailpipes if you wish. Unfortunately we do not fabricate a backbox alone for this vehicle.
But they quoted £599.00 fitted. May go and have a chat with them to strike up a deal. Bit unsure about what I will be getting - not as brave as you - and would like assurance that they know the VX and know what they are doing.
Alternative is a drive up to Walsall......

Strange - the std NA and std turbo were on the button for the manufacturer's figures
