I'm Chris as well. How exciting. Is it short for Christian or Christoper?

Leo ate on Wednesday for the first time in 4-5 weeks. Thought he was going to loose the weight he had put on recently but he's still getting heavier every week. Little worried about the hot weather as the hot end of his tank is 32 and the "cold" end is 29. Nowhere really to cool down. Although hopefully he's drinking plenty.

The temps are still fine, 26 to 33 is a good guide. My snake was fine in the hot weather at similar temps.just try to keep the humidity up, a spray now and again helps . Long ish time to go without eating unless shedding but he maybe taking big meals, then again never had a Royal. How long is he now?

They phoned me just there...he has passed some poo...a considerable amount!! :D Surgery is now less likely as his gut isn't totally blocked and appears to be working well. More treatment and relaxing today for the wee guy with some more xrays later in the afternoon to see how the blockage is. He may need to stay over one more night just to make sure he is top notch, but the Vet is really happy with him and says he seems much brighter and happier in himself. They are going to be feeding him today so asked if he has a favourite, that would be basil, he loves that stuff, he basically inhales it! Things are looking up!

That's great news , we get to attached to our bloody animals

Good news mr Claws.

Dougie didn't like the syringing food in his mouth and soon got the hint to start eating again.

I came home the other day to find our new bunny Bella had been reading bunny suicides.  Had chewed a hole in the curtains, stuck her head through it and fell off the window ledge.  Stoopid bunny.

Had to cut her out of the curtain because she was coughing and squeeking.  Didn't know a bunny squeeked.

All fine 2 mins later and was hopping around scrounging for carrot treats.

Rabbits can make all kinds of noises. Especially when caught by dogs.

She was still standing up tall, so not hanging by her neck, but this thing was tight. She had tried to get a paw in to free herself and jammed it tighter. Couldn't get it off without distress so the curtains got the chop.

Nice one.

Just got to pay for it all now   A few Million quid should cover it if they charge anything like the Vets near me. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. I went into the wrong job. They charged me £150 for a 5 min consultation for my Dragon and an x ray then wanted £50 for every other x ray and recommended three, that was to press a button and load the pic onto the PC and have a glance at it. So I politely refused any more. Then more cash for drugs and I buried it two days later.

Thanks Icey :grouphug: I had written out a big spiel there, but I'll leave it at I bet you never meet a poor vet! The bill for Edinburgh was sizeable, but the service was truly outstanding, so that's a case of "it's only money". They even groomed his fur and trimmed his nails :D The £150 for a 10min(if that) consultation in Glasgow smarted a little, as you can imagine. Especially as it didn't yield any real information about his condition. Local vet was only £80, That included a consultation, 3 xrays and the days treatment to get him back from the brink thumbsup He is really well today, more like 93%, running about, eating a lot more, drinking more, making little noises when he is extra happy and he is reluctant to be handled for his medicine. Hopefully tomorrow we will see some jumps and bunny hops, along with his normal appetite being resumed :)

He died yesterday.

Devastated. :(
