Likewise if you state something that is clearly bollocks (spiggot rings are dangerous, abs units are cheap copies, higher bhp cars lift clear of the rollers, i've never locked a thread) then i will challenge that. I would do the same to anyone else on here.

I missed that.

Where did I say spiggot rings are dangerous? All I've said is that the supplier of the wheels does not recommend spigot ring wheels on track, thats all. Remember if I supply a set of wheels I'm bound by the sale of goods act, I have to pass this kind of information on.

Where have I said ABS units are cheap copies? What I said was that we'd had problems upgrading people with VXR ABS units as we found it didn't always work, I also said I didn't know the implications of using grey imported Opel parts on a Vauxhall - I still don't

Where have i said that high bhp cars lift clear of rollers? What I said was that the Dyno Dynmaics dyno needs the car to sit on top of the main roller to get an accurate measure and we'd been tying the cars down too tight to allow that.

This is my point, I've not said any of the bits you accuse me of but people will read it and think its true when its not.

It's threads like this that make the VX220 community as a whole look like vultures.

I have no affiliation with any tuners or companies apart from possibly buying parts from them.

But what pisses me off is the fact that it only takes one person to say:

"Oh xxxx is a cunt because he broke my car / charged me too much / stole my removed parts / desecrated my car"

and everyone jumps on the bandwagon with their little dig, either based on the biased previous posts, or their "'issues'

If you really have a problem, speak to the other person, get it sorted. If they aren't helping take them to court and get a judgement.

I was trying to keep out of this one as I know I am percieved to be a Thorney basher although I haven't really used Thorneys services (apart from a ride to Le Mans in his BMW when I wrote my VX off on route thumbsup ) or made any comments against him personally.

So all you have done is confirm what Silent 1 has stated. As it happens, I believe Silent1 is correct (in the main) too.

I have sympathy with VXR36 (and JT), but fcuk me, where do all these people come from that suddenly have an opinion.

By his own admission above, P11COV has only ever been helped by Thorney but still feels the need to fuel the fire. Maybe instead of trying to keep out, you just keep out.

You are exactly what is wrong with this country, not a teacher as well are you?

Totally off topic but WTF is it that whenever Thorney's name pops up in a thread it brings all the sad old fu*ks from 116 out of the woodwork?? I'm not one for taking sides but why don't you tw*ts do us all a favour and just fu*k off back under that slimy little rock where you belong. :poke:

Before anyone tries to designate me as a "lover" or "hater" then I'll tell you I'm neither, don't know the bloke (either of them.).

Exactly! One in particular who due to his geographical location I would be pretty sure has never been to TMS and therefore bases his judgment on what other people say...and NOT from personal experience.....which IMHO is rather childish. I am course welcome to be proved wrong....

They clearly have nothing else better to do.....if you dont like TMS then dont go. Simple really.

I'm not sad, or old or a twat and I'll be contacting my lawyer in the morning to sue you for libel or slander or something!

And anyway most of us sad old fukers actually post here as much as over there so you of only 2000 or so posts p*ss off and stop slagging off those of us who have been around a while longer and know a thing or two and don't talk out of our arses..

Hey now thats the Gerry we know and love back! I reckon that 'Gerry' over on type 116 (the born again nice one) is an imposter

anyway...I did not add any 'fuel to the fire'...not one comment about the situation between 'VXR 36 and Mr Thorne' and whilst its tempting to crawl down to your level and start firing personal insults I'll try and be a little more mature just give you a big :grouphug:

I have no desire to add an opinion on this one. I hope that it gets resolves amicably. I have used TMS several times and I have found them to fair and reasonable and I hope my future experiences are the same.

I'll keep my opinion for me, and I suggest everyone to do the same and let John and Andrew solve their problem the way it fits them.

Just one thing John. Can you make it snow, please. My ski-holiday will start soon, and some fresh powder would be welcome

Jesus! & us woman on here (some) got slated a while back on the game girlfriend thread for being bitchy There is so much testosterone in here I/we need more oestrogens to try & combat it. Whatever "is" the truth will come out in the end between JT & VXR36 but do you other guys really need to slag eachother off so much in the process? :grouphug: Play nice & just be factual on what you know x

Much as JT has a say in how the forum is run / moderated... would it be in everyones interest to lock the thread... no one will get any resolution on here regarding this matter. We now know some of the arguments and counter arguments. Do we need to hear any more? Come on mods take a vote, lock the thread (I'm sure you have considerred this in the mod forum) Locking a thread does not mean any one person has won or lost.

Dave-due to the "silly"/ nasty comments now coming through I would agree. I have watched this from day one but when it comes down to calling eachother "twat" etc I feel it has gone to far No need for that no matter how strong you feel IMHO (btw if those I am referring to find it a problem then bring it on as I will give it back ten hold but leave it to pm) Also like to add that the main peeps involved have not gone to that level (thankfully)

Rather than lock the thread a moderator could just delete the offending comments/posts
