I assume you will compete in some GT class racing, or class C/D in LotRDC by invitiation ? I always had Class B in mind for mine.

Give us a shout next time you are going to Dunsfold.

It would be great to see the car on a UK track, any plans ?

The car will remain in Dunsfold until its finished. Planning is April 12 :jump: but depending on delivery time of some parts.

No plans for racing, but current plans include track days like April 19 Abbeville, May 26 Spa, July 7 Le Mans and some at Zandvoort. Looking forward to join on UK track days in the 2nd half of this year

Herman is that you??

I still have heard from Graham which side headlight you need mate - have you found out yet??

It's not really the same thing, but here's another VXexige... I have a bunch more pics but can't seem to be able to upload them all in the same post. It's a dutch car. Not really the same thing, but nice...

Also who carried out the work to get your VXT up to 411 BHP?

The engine was tuned by Vmax in Germany. Excellent job done.
EVO 400 + flowed head + water injection + some bits and pieces.
At the moment it is tuned back a little to limit the torque ( 500Nm, more gentle to the gearbox) to 405PS at 6780 rpm.

Car is in the bodyshop at the moment.
Next is full roll cage, brakes, centre lock hubs, pedal box, shocks, electrical systems refit boost controller, traction control, water injection and a lot of bits and pieces.....

Don't know if the lightweight bodyparts will compensate the added weight of the rollcage. we'll see. Keeping my fingers crossed the car will be ready the 21st thumbsup

Saw this last week at Plans and was quite frankly staggered that you/they are attempting to do something so bonkers! Am I right in thinking that if you have simply gone down the Exige route that you couldn't get anywhere near the quoted 411 bhp? (Has it been on a rolling road already?) As I understand it, the Elise/Exige chassis is the same as the VX until you get to around about the rear of the seats, which is when the VX becomes a bit longer?

Overheard some conversation about your car today at Plans, and it sounded hopeful! I believe I saw it move under it's own power from outside into the workshop, albeit with the rear clam off.. thumbsup

A great job is done in putting the car back together again :) Most time spent waiting for something like these (example):

Centre-lock wheels on the VXT is a choice that I would perhaps not make a second time knowing how hard it is to get them right

I'm not sure but from what I've heard, the Exige is difficult to get reliable at more than 350bhp. The 2.0 engine is, when modified, incredibely strong and will run 400-480 bhp without any problem. If the handling (power-band curve / torque on the gear box) of a 477 bhp VXT (tuned early this year) turnes out OK, I could go one step further :tt:

As I understand it, the Elise/Exige chassis is the same as the VX until you get to around about the rear of the seats, which is when the VX becomes a bit longer?

The VX(T) is 2.8 centimeters (about one inch?) longer. The difference is in subframe, engine mounts and wishbones. Stretching the body was no option

Custom build wishbones solved most of the problem. Not an easy job to do thumbsup

Imnotworthy Gorgeous. Having driven both the Exige and the VX and having fallen in love with the VX to drive and the Exige's looks ths floats my boat. Best of luck with the project and hpefully this will be displayed at a car show when completed! I certainly wouldn't mind having a look.
