Not so sure if the old decompressed SC's will bring more power with just a remap... (Rods out of the equation!) Looking to this torque graph I cannot see much what can be improved. thumbsup

My understanding was that the main limiting factor was the rev limit. More revs, more power - until it all goes bang! :P

Before my car goes in for the SC conversion in August I'm considering fitting these stage one comp cams that I had already bought.

Comp cams has a blower grind too...

If you really go to a SC conversion as soon as August, why not directly get these ones ?

And mount some stiffer valve springs with these, so you can raise the rev limit... As you see in the graph, power is still climbing. :rolleyes:

What pulley sized is used for the 2.2 SC conversions? On the Courtenay website it doesn't look like the stock GM pulley...

Was a smaller pulley on the decomp kit, but not sure they retained a pulley that small on the stock CR one
